Yes, apologies, am referencing something linked to the Madi*n again. The young woman who they were cavorting round parliament with last night and who tweeted about being united in their hate of ‘Radfems’ sparked my curiosity. So I just clicked on her name and am just fucking sad at what I see. Just there, her photographed, open -mouthed inviting people to ‘come’ here. Proclaiming she wants to be f*ed hard from behind and have her head held under water. Video of her taking a pee. Just one click away from a page that’s asking youth to stand for Parliament. The young woman in question is putting up a defence and I feel sorry for her because she’s getting some flack and she’s just one young woman earning a crust for selling her sex, but she is also failing to see the bigger picture of the world she inhabits and promotes. Is it bad that I feel so hopeless about this? Is this what being an intersectional feminist is all about? Supporting young women to do this as an empowering and valid career choice? My eyes have been opened to the easy availability of online porn since engaging in the arguments surrounding things like the GRA. So many of the individuals I’ve encountered on twitter in this debate are a click away (or not even that) to images of what I deem to be degrading porno - just there on Twitter - requiring no digging or searching even. I’ve had to bleach my eyes on so many occasions now. Apologies to those of you who don’t know what the hell Im talking about. The Banned Feminist is in ‘dialogue’ of a sort with LM’s friend (and OJ’s) and it’s throwing up some interesting debate.
