Announcement about ManFriday

With great sadness the ManFriday team would like to announce that we have decided to hang up our beards and bring ManFriday to an end.
It's been a brilliant year and we've achieved so much but with the FPFW campaign and so much other things going on we feel the group has run it's course.

While we won't be actively campaigning our Twitter will remain open drawing attention to the cause and you can still buy feminist bags and badges on etsy and Facebook

We'd like to thank everyone who has supported ManFriday right from the start, all the women that have worked in the background as well as those participating in direct action.

Thank you so much for everything that you have done, you have been inspirational in the extreme but I have to admit to feeling very sad about this.

I hope that you are aware that there will be many Reservists waiting for a future call-up, if men are needed for any event in the future.

Definitely agree with preserving the mankini, beard and swimming-cap for posterity though and as for the Leeds Spinners Banner, well, what can I say? It's even better close up and a work of true genius. I feel very privileged to have seen it.
