Manchester's latest feminist collective release thier new website with an EXCLUSIVE investigation into the sacking of Labour Woman's officer Morgan Horn.
Trigger warning. Contains reference to Lily Madigan.

My first ever proper article. I hope you like it.

OP posts:

Bravo! Star

EmeraldVillage · 13/11/2018 11:23

A good article. The whole thing is utterly bizarre.

wopbamboo · 13/11/2018 11:27

Will read on lunch. Cheers. Anyone heard from Morgan Horn yet?

Ereshkigal · 13/11/2018 11:29

Great work!

UpstartCrow · 13/11/2018 11:30

Morgan cant appear in public until she has worn sackcloth and ashes and paid penance for the thing she was accused of but didn't do.

7Days · 13/11/2018 11:33

It's not bizarre they are just very naughty boys.

This is what passes for politics?
Jesus wept.

Datun · 13/11/2018 11:36

God, it's damning. Madigan comes across as seething with resentment.

sackrifice · 13/11/2018 11:40

Just read it before coming on here.

Well done, more totally barncake behaviour from the Labour party.

May they rest in peace.

WomanOfTime · 13/11/2018 11:40

Very good article - and some of the Madigan screenshots are clear proof of how 'terf' is used pretty much like 'witch' - she did it, even if she didn't.

There was also someone called 'Ezra Autumn' on Facebook arguing that even if Morgan Horn didn't vandalise anything, she should lose her position anyway, for...knowing people who did? Ezra also argued that 'innocent until proven guilty' shouldn't apply to Morgan because that is only relevant in law courts - so the Labour party are justified in condemning people based on speculation or association, apparently. Ezra is a...very strange character, to say the least.

UpstartCrow · 13/11/2018 11:43

Remind me again how kangaroo courts are better than carceral feminism?

Wrathofjurgenklop · 13/11/2018 11:44

Thanks for the roundup Lippy.
Reading Twitter feeds hurt my head.

Why are people losing their job just because "something" happened.

If your flat is broken into, call the police.
If you see grafitti and vandalism, call the police.
At least let the police know what's happened, so the crime gets recorded. properly.
That's what a full grown adult should do,
not subjecting a person to trial by the Twitterati.

Ffs, getting someone sacked on hearsay is nasty and vindictive.

newdocket · 13/11/2018 11:45

Brilliant.

I love the amendment note at the bottom:

*This piece originally stated that Lily Madigan had 17k followers, not 13k followers

Wrathofjurgenklop · 13/11/2018 11:48

Ezra also argued that 'innocent until proven guilty' shouldn't apply to Morgan because that is only relevant in law courts

Oh dear.

NotDavidTennant · 13/11/2018 11:50

While the whole thing is ridiculous beyond belief, I doubt very much that Women's Officer of Scottish Young Labour is a paid position. Nobody has been 'sacked'.

BeUpStanding · 13/11/2018 11:53

Brilliant work DJLippy Star

WomanOfTime · 13/11/2018 11:53

In case it disappears.

She is a terf and she did it. The sacking of Morgan Horn
naivetyisthenewblack · 13/11/2018 12:07

Brilliant article, nice one :)

What will happen next with Morgan Horn? They can't just vote to chuck her out immediately - surely there must be some kind of procedure? Or is Young Labour a different thing, not bound by Labour's usual internal policies?

Gileswithachainsaw · 13/11/2018 12:11

Nice one!

Where has LM gone anyway the Twitter page seems to have disappeared ?

That poor woman. Blamed and fired for something she had nothing to do with. And a certain person hasnt even apologised Angry

Wrathofjurgenklop · 13/11/2018 12:12

Women's Officer, paid or not paid.
Getting someone removed from a post based on hearsay is nasty and vindictive.

EmpressAdultHumanFemale · 13/11/2018 12:21

Excellent, Lippy.

Noqont · 13/11/2018 12:26

Christ they are just so thick. I hate to say it but it's bloody true.

sackrifice · 13/11/2018 12:26

Does LM really thing that by deleting a Twitter account it wipes everyones memory?

Like a kid who thinks you can't see them if they hide behind their hands.

Mumsnut · 13/11/2018 12:28

The Rae person doesnt even spell LM's name correctly.

sorenipples · 13/11/2018 12:30

So the leader of lewisham momentum is involved in illegal subletting and throwing unwanted tenants onto the street? Did i understand correctly? How very socialist.

I think thr article could be strengthened by other examples of women Lily has gone after, wasn't there someone employed by an MP and a potential NEC candidate (although that appeared to be quietly dropped - I presume she over stretched ). Also the party for women leaving and the Facebook witch hunt group.

sorenipples · 13/11/2018 12:33

Really good summary though. I hope someone picks this up as a illustration of problems with labour. A bit of mainstream publicity and maybe they will be kicked into getting their house in order.
