Peak trans on a map! The most woke places are also the most GC

Check out the map on FPFW's prisons petition.

The places with the most signatures include some of the most woke areas with loads of transactivists or high profile individual TAs e.g.

Brighton
Bristol
Cambridge (transwoman Sarah Brown is local)
Lewisham (Lily Madigan recently moved there and is behaving like - well, Lily Madigan)

Interesting!

Tottenham and Calder Valley are the other two in the top category.

Are they particularly woke areas?

Oh, a link might help, hey?!

If calder Valley is Todmorden, Hebden Bridge then yes, very woke and very gc! North London fits too...

naivetyisthenewblack · 12/11/2018 18:09

Hebden Bridge? Ah, that makes sense then!

Gosh, there are ten signatures in my constituency! That's heart-warming. I feel slightly less alone.

I wonder if any of those people found my leaflets? Smile

A similar thing happened with this petition, the allegedly wokest, therefore likely to have the worst behaving males imposing on the general public generated the fasted red patches! Tells ya summat.

ThePrincipal · 12/11/2018 18:12

Yes makes sense. Those would be the areas which have been peak transed by their local famous trans behaving as this do.

Look at Oxford.

naivetyisthenewblack · 12/11/2018 18:14

Leicester's the other extreme. Zero signatures from South Leicester!

Is this issue not really on people's radar there?

Bufferingkisses · 12/11/2018 18:16

Surely it's pretty obvious this will happen? More woke = more exposure = more opposing views?

Is it this just simple maths?

ShackUp · 12/11/2018 18:17

I live about 10 minutes from Oxford, though, and there are only 10 other signatures in my constituency. We are pretty few and far between here.

ShackUp · 12/11/2018 18:18

naivety Leicester is quite heavily British Indian/Pakistani so maybe less visible a thing in those communities?

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 12/11/2018 18:19

Oh! My constituency is a hotspot

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 12/11/2018 18:20

Surely it's a combination of two things - whether people have been peak transed and whether they're part of the networks through which the petition was shared.
The petition hasn't exactly gone viral - I am sure many many more people would agree with it if they knew about it than have actually seen it.

Budgieinaberet · 12/11/2018 18:22

Only 9 signatures in my area Shock
My MP is woke

Badstyley · 12/11/2018 18:42

Damn it, it’s a graphic, and I can’t see it. May I enquire how Telford and Oxford did? For a friend of course.

FishfingersAreFingers · 12/11/2018 18:48

Pleased to say that I've just voted aaand removed one of the few remaining grey areas on the map

Budgieinaberet · 12/11/2018 18:57

Telford has 12 signatures

Whatsnewwithyou · 12/11/2018 19:02

Only 5 in my constituency. I wrote to my MP about this but he never bothered to reply!

Badstyley · 12/11/2018 19:08

Oh god, just noticed it’s for the prison petition. Ok I’ll have to mither certain people to share some more.

Is there a similar map for the consultation? I’m sure I’ve seen one.

EverardDigby · 12/11/2018 19:11

Plenty of south Leicester is naice and also lots of students.

morningtoncrescent62 · 12/11/2018 19:11

Yay for Edinburgh! 23 in my constituency and 26 in the neighbouring one - highest in Scotland.

welshbookworm · 12/11/2018 19:14

Now 5 signatures here in Montgomeryshire in rural Mid-Wales. Shared on Twitter.

Ereshkigal · 12/11/2018 19:19

May be coincidental but Tottenham MP David Lammy was the sponsor/proposer/whatever you call it of the original 2004 Gender Recognition Bill.

LangCleg · 12/11/2018 19:19

It was like that on the previous GC government petition. TheCountessofFitzdotterel is right.

TeenTimesTwo · 12/11/2018 19:24

One more in my constituency now. I hadn't heard about this before.
