"The infamous hate group women’s place U.K. (WPUK) plan to meet in Bath to spread lies and fear to harm trans people, especially trans women.

We encourage everyone who feels safe to do so, to come out and oppose this meeting. And it’s never been more urgent than right now.

Bring your friends! Bring banners! The precise location will be anncounced closer to the time.

We also advise people to take precautions for safety: TERFs love taking photos of us to doxx us/ grass us to the police. We advise bringing face covers!"

Grass? If they're not planning to do anything illegal why are they worried about being grassed?

hungryhippie · 22/10/2018 16:55

Exactly
What are they expecting to be grassed up about?

Well I looked at the We're fighting the Terf War.
Be afraid 11, yes 11 people are going.

breastfeedingclownfish · 22/10/2018 16:59

Brave as lions that lot.

kesstrel · 22/10/2018 17:04

They clearly love the whole 'courageous freedom fighters in the face of evil' romantic self-image. Even the phrasing of the first sentence reeks of it: 'infamous', 'spread lies and fear'....Grin.

BettyDuMonde · 22/10/2018 17:06

The Bristol event says ‘Location, tbc - London’ so they don’t seem very well organised 😂

FekkoTheLawyer · 22/10/2018 17:08

Why especially trans women? Is thay

FekkoTheLawyer · 22/10/2018 17:09

Oops fat fingers. I was musing if they even acknowledged the existence of trans men?

Haven't the blue haired boys got mid term exams coming up?

silentcrow · 22/10/2018 17:11

Antifa fairy tales. You gotta wonder if we'd be seeing half if this if the BNP hadn't collapsed. It's like a babushka doll of Trojan ponies all infiltrating each other.

BigotedWoman · 22/10/2018 17:13

Hate groups often meet in Bath, don't they?

FekkoTheLawyer · 22/10/2018 17:14

Maybe some nice police horsies will turn up.

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 22/10/2018 17:15

It's perfect for them because they can have all the fun and excitement of face covering and making out they're doing something terribly brave and dangerous, but we're a bunch of non violent mostly middle aged women so there's zero risk of their getting hurt.
Tossers.

StarsAndWater · 22/10/2018 17:16

I was too nervous to go to the Bristol jam jar one but I'm kind of furious now and was planning to go to this. Glad they're giving us the heads up, I guess.

BiologyIsReal · 22/10/2018 17:18

We encourage everyone who feels safe to do so, to come out and oppose this meeting. And it’s never been more urgent than right now.

Don't panic Mr Mannering.....

They really are panicking though aren't they? Their agenda has been well and truly rumbled and they are afraid their cunning TRA plans to erase women and women's rights are hitting a few bumps in the road.

You can fool all of the people some of the time and some of the people all of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time - as the saying goes.

FekkoTheLawyer · 22/10/2018 17:22

Feels safe to do so? Oh give me a break.

So the painted baseball bats and masks are what, for show? The fact that the blue haired boys are larger, stronger, more aggressive and violent and have youth on their side? The fact that the sight of an obsese man dressed in a nappy with a dummy tit won't strike terror into the heart of any of the nasty ladies?

PositivelyPERF · 22/10/2018 17:27

We encourage everyone who feels safe to do so, to come out and oppose this meeting.

We’re soooo afraid we might have to ask some really scary 20yr old women to stand between us and the nasty terfs. It so hard being a 6ft tall, penis endowed, hairy woman. 😭

hipsterfun · 22/10/2018 17:37

They clearly love the whole 'courageous freedom fighters in the face of evil' romantic self-image. Even the phrasing of the first sentence reeks of it: 'infamous', 'spread lies and fear'

It’s shit like this that makes me wonder if transactivism is an elaborate wind-up or state ruse to keep us distracted.

Deep down, I just don’t want to believe the youth of today could be so utterly, utterly tragic.

I feel a bit sorry for them, tbh.

JuneOsbourne · 22/10/2018 17:38

Anyone else notice on their mocked up poster thing that under "A Woman's Place" they've scribbled out the words "is to be heard" in black marker pen. Says it all really.

FekkoTheLawyer · 22/10/2018 17:39

Someone should call their mums really. Drag them off by their ears. (Mum's would be more amusing than dad's).

FekkoTheLawyer · 22/10/2018 17:40

@hipsterfun - I've said it a few times - I'm sure it's really gaslighting by surrealists.

Waterparc · 22/10/2018 17:51

I know someone who saw off an EDF demo by setting out tea and custard creams at his Mosque.

worked really well.

maybe hobnobs for the mumsnet connection?

ErrolTheDragon · 22/10/2018 17:53

Someone should call their mums really.

Maybe some of them don't want their mums recognising them?

MrsSnippyPants · 22/10/2018 17:54

"Maybe some nice police horsies will turn up."

OlennasWimple · 22/10/2018 17:55

Biscuits were proffered to the protestors outside the Quaker Meeting House event, I think?

Definitely difficult to be angry with someone who is holding a plate of custard creams

TheCraicDealer · 22/10/2018 17:55

I know 11 have said they're attending but it might only be 7 or 8 once a few get grounded or realises that it clashes with their cello lesson.
