Full article here. It's really good and mentions among other things the assault by Tara Wood.

The Sun is a filthy rag but I begrudgingly admit that it's a decent article.

TigerDrankAllTheWaterInTheTap · 08/10/2018 07:18

That's good. Never thought I'd see the day when I'd be praising an article in The Sun but we live in strange times. This will reach people who would never see James Kirkup in The Spectator or Janice Turner, Andrew Gilligan and Lucy Bannerman in The Times/Sunday Times.

IdaBWells · 08/10/2018 07:24

I am just glad to see this discussion happen anywhere and everywhere. The “No debate” BS is really pissing everyone off.

HamiltonCork · 08/10/2018 07:41

Strange times indeed when the Sun is standing up for women's rights more than the Guardian.

NaturalBornWoman · 08/10/2018 07:44

This. Hurray for The Sun.

Charliethefeminist · 08/10/2018 07:48

That's a really good read. It could fit in any paper, it's well written and covers all the issues and backs up the concern with evidence and examples. No phobia there! Particularly like the velvet gloved huge fist being shaken in germainegreer's face.

SunsetBeetch · 08/10/2018 07:56

Yeah it's the second time I've seen goos journalism from The Sun on trans issues. What a crazy, upside down world.

Concise and to the point. Thank you, Trevor.

KatVonGulag · 08/10/2018 08:01

What I hate most of all about this whole thing is the absolute shut down of debate.

Agree 100% with everything we say or do, just pushes people further apart

SadieLancaster · 08/10/2018 08:03

God Susie Green is thick 🙄

RepealtheGRA · 08/10/2018 08:12

Good article! And how embarrassing for the government, BBC and the guardian that the Sun has a better grip on reality and women’s rights than any of them. Fuck me there’s a sentence I never thought I’d construct.

Juells · 08/10/2018 08:17

Yesterday, celebrated author and trans surgery pioneer Jan Morris, 92, pleaded for calm. “People need to be kinder to each other,” she said.

How to make a non-statement.

BettyFloop · 08/10/2018 08:24

This really is the weirdest thing to wake up to...Never in my wildest imaginings have I ever seen myself praising the Sun for anything but this morning, I am.
I have a feeling it's going to be a busy week.

Mumsnut · 08/10/2018 08:50

I've met TK a time or two. He is a good bloke.

Popchyk · 08/10/2018 09:28

It is a good article.

TK has always been a great writer - stripping down the nonsense in a way that people can understand.

AncientLights · 08/10/2018 09:36

And everything he's written is true and can be verified. Good article to wake up to indeed.

cheminotte · 08/10/2018 11:00

Really well written article.

NotMeOhNo · 08/10/2018 11:18

Bloody hell, those links below the article...

Mumfun · 08/10/2018 12:28

Great writing by Trevor Kavanagh. Covers all the issues in a short accessible article. Great piece to share with friends to let them understand what going on.

The whole situation has been such a great wakeup to me that totalitarianism comes from the left as well as the right. Never thought women would be so let down by the Guardian and the Labour Party. Owen Jones and Ruth Hunt are an absolute disgrace and I hope they both get their just desserts in the end.

ChrysanthemumsAreMums · 08/10/2018 16:19

That is a good article.

I hadn't seen the interview with SG. Showed herself up a bit by just repeating "transgirls" are girls

ChrysanthemumsAreMums · 08/10/2018 16:20

Mumfun

Me too. There are days when I am so down because my faith in certain organisations and institutions and media outlets has been so rocked.

It makes me laugh when TRAs refer to us as Right Wing. So not true

Micaela64 · 08/10/2018 19:01

I think anyone with a modicum of common sense, realism or rational though is right leaning these days, because the modern left have lost their damn minds.

KERALA1 · 08/10/2018 19:04

I NEVER read the sun but got the car washed today and flicked through it while I waited as the only reading material there. I could not believe my eyes when I saw this article.

My world is rocked - how is it that I am agreeing with the Sun commentary and am repelled and infuriated by the bloody Guardian that we have got for years?

KERALA1 · 08/10/2018 19:06

Its the sign of a very intelligent person who can get across complex ideas in a simple way to a non sophisticated audience. I thought it was excellent
