For Those who Access podcasts, this week there is a debate between IW and Madeleine Kearns on the Spectator Podcast. It's a joy to listen to IMO as IW just runs around sounding more and more unhinged while MK just makes her point very clearly. Please listen, it's only ten Minutes or so

That was annoying. IW doing the usual talking over and shouting down, and just cannot resist telling great big whoppers about biology. Yes, they sound unhinged and bullying, and they are pretty much given free reign. Bloody awful person.

trenchant · 05/10/2018 17:49

oh god, IW is such a cock.

I listened to it. I thought Madeline Kearnes was absolutely brilliant and made great points. India usually starts well but every single time without fail that I have heard India speak, it descends into classic male behaviour of loudly talking over whichever woman is there at the time.

I had to laugh when India pointed out that we never discuss predatory behaviour from female to male trans. That'll be because male pattern violence is something that men do, India...

Glad to hear Mumsnet get a mention though! India just couldn't help spreading the good word on our behalf, so with any luck some more GC people will be lurking right about now as a result. You can't beat a bit of free advertising.

Madeleine was great - I loved the "child welfare" shout 😁 Willoughby just meanders through a load of memememememememememe and doesn't listen. Whiny voice as well. Really grates 😖

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 05/10/2018 18:41

It sounds interesting, is there a link?

MuseumofInnocence · 05/10/2018 18:42

IW does ram homethe "mememe - you don't understand me" point quite a bit. I loved the Child Welfare shout too. The whole "this is gay or civil rights redux" argument is quite frustrating.

The distraction technique applied by IW just made IW sound a bit thick. None of the questions they were asked had much to do with the memememememe rants, and the sneering about teacher/nanny made IW sound somewhat bitter. Not sure why a teacher or nanny would evoke such a strong reaction in IW. Madeleine was good to highlight the lack of any actual qualifications in LGBT woke trainer while IW was trying to point out trans was the only qualification required in dealing with this subject. And to be so presumptuous about someone else's medical history or potential gender issues. Seems like IW is just as capable of been closed minded as those IW accuses of being so.

I don't know how to link podcasts? If you have access to podcasts, just search for the spectator one & it's the most recent one.

FloralBunting · 05/10/2018 19:03

I just downloaded a podcast reader app and searched for the Spectator podcast. Was the first one on the list.

India did not grow up in the 70s and 80s. India is 53.

At the age of 53, India would have been an adult in the 80s and was obviously born in 1966.

placemats · 05/10/2018 19:26

blogs.spectator.co.uk/2018/10/the-spectator-podcast-should-we-educate-children-on-transgender-issues/

India is saying she is transgender.

Interesting.

India conflates being trans with being Black, Gay and any other minority that is being misunderstood.

placemats · 05/10/2018 19:27

India is using 'fact' a lot.

Bullshit.

placemats · 05/10/2018 19:29

So any way I'm getting adverts from Redbubble, I've never gone on this site, and on of the baby vests has a saying on it, yes a baby vest,

Trans is beautiful.

placemats · 05/10/2018 19:30

India mentions mumsnet and FWR and equates FWR to hatred to gays in the 70s and 80s.

India hates us.

placemats · 05/10/2018 19:36

India gets the last words in.

But India sounds unhinged sadly with those last words.

'Sadly, I can't get a brain transplant'

Seriously?

BlooperReel · 05/10/2018 19:57

IW comes across as a condescending, sneering, twat.

LondonPainter · 05/10/2018 20:01

Classic male behaviour! Talking over the women, "keep your beak out", etc

PositivelyPERF · 05/10/2018 20:02

Sadly, I can't get a brain transplant

Am I the only one who immediately thought of the scarecrow, in The Wizard Of Oz?

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 05/10/2018 20:33

I'm listening now IW is massively patronising. Scottish woman is great.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 05/10/2018 20:37

IW (accusingly) "so you think children should be made to go through puberty"

Shock
ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 05/10/2018 20:43

Grin "All men on earth have had a sex change"

GulagsMyArse · 05/10/2018 20:48

vomit-worthy, codsbollocks, and I'm not talking about the lovely Scottish woman

GulagsMyArse · 05/10/2018 20:50

I feel a bit sorry for India, I get the feeling india desperately wants to be the only trans in the village

Now100 · 05/10/2018 22:31

I love the bit where IW just says "I can't listen to this" and the interviewer immediately asks a question about women just being shut down from debating.

Hope that makes sense!
