So one last peak before Sunday Dinner.

Suspected evil witch JK Rowling, has been accused of much hatred in many forms. Obviously the "liking" of one gender critical post is utterly damning. But who knew her inventing mythical creatures would be proof of the depths of her Naziness?!

Trans Rights Activists demonstrating once again they are a power for goodness and sanity in this world.

Oh dear that twatter Twitter really didn't get what JK was doing with that plot line.

I know many readers found it tedious but I was amazed at how she got some quite interesting nuances into a children's book.

Charliethefeminist · 30/09/2018 11:34

Ah, that delightful 'can someone murder her' twitter response from a TRA after JK liked a feminist article. I remember it well.

WhenIWasAYoungWarthog · 30/09/2018 11:37

There are some absolute fucking lunatics out there.

KatVonGulag · 30/09/2018 11:38

Link arms together in hate.

It's such a beautiful sentiment.

LinoleumBlownapart · 30/09/2018 11:52

Supporting women makes her a trans-phobic nazi. Well of course!

IHeartKingThistle · 30/09/2018 11:55

Facepalm.

'T*rf propaganda' Grin

The irony is lost with this one.

My star in the quote, because of the rules on this forum.

BertramKibbler · 30/09/2018 11:56

Surely this is just embarrassing for them?

dolorsit · 30/09/2018 11:57

I think JK knows that it doesn't matter what she says someone will find a reason to hate her simply because she is a successful woman writer.

DereksSexyPyjamas · 30/09/2018 12:16

Oh dearie dearie me, I do hope they don’t keep pushing until this massively influential and well-loved millionaire decides that you might as well be hung for a sheep than a lamb, because that would be awful. Dearie dearie me.

And if I was a TRA right now I would be taking a closer look at the people around me, and wondering which of them are secretly gender-critical moles, because either this is idiocy or it’s sabotage. You’ve been infiltrated, people!

CaptainMarvelDanvers · 30/09/2018 12:18

The way they talk about you would think she’s regularly posting Gender Critical comments and articles but nope, all she had to do to gain their ire was like an article questioning why a sex offender was place in a prison with vulnerable women. These people aren’t ticking right.

VickyEadie · 30/09/2018 13:03

How do they manage to make Jews, Koreans and Native Americans hate her? Also, as one of the Gays, I am offended by being included in these irrational, hatey groups.

LittleLebowski · 30/09/2018 13:24

Jews - because goblins, especially in the wizarding bank is anti-Semitic stereotyping, Native American - the Twitter row when Fantastic Beasts came out as JK had somehow appropriated Native American mythology about shape-shifting. Koreans - the latest fuss because Nagini the snake is going to be seen as a woman, casting Claudia Kim, a Korean actress - because Nagini is based on the Naga, an Indonesian myth. Article in The G criticising JK for attempting to gain woke points by including lots of PoC/gay Dumbledore in her backstory writing on the new films + involvement in The Cursed Child when she didn't bother enough with all of these things in the original HP series. www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/film/2018/sep/28/fantastic-beasts-isnt-racist-jk-rowling-source-character-claudia-kim-nagini
You can never be woke enough....

See, this might as well be in a foreign language I don't speak for all the sense it makes to me. Do I infer 'writer of fiction who has incurred wrath of irrationally hateful, self-obsessed blokes for having the temerity to have an opinion on something is accused of racism, etc for including nuance and/or cultural references in her work'?

LittleLebowski · 30/09/2018 13:33

Grin I'd say that's a good summary! All a bit "My culture is NOT your prom dress!" - if you know that reference! thechive.com/2018/05/09/best-reactions-to-the-my-culture-is-not-your-prom-dress-debacle-22-photos/

Yes Datun - if JK actually 'de-terfed' herself properly or said anything openly GC, I think the ensuing Twitter eruption would be audible from outer space. I bet she knows she would have *literal blood on her hands etc

VickyEadie · 30/09/2018 13:53

Datun

I was just musing on something very similar. It must break their tiny hearts to find she doesn't validate all their feelz.

VickyEadie · 30/09/2018 15:24

Absolutely bemused that Datun 's post was deleted - I know exactly what she said.

NameChangedAgain18 · 30/09/2018 15:45

They’re making themselves look like those religious nut jobs in the US who tried to get the Harry Potter books banned. A laughing stock.

Juells · 30/09/2018 16:04

They be crazy 😬

SquishySquirmy · 30/09/2018 16:22

Amazed that none of them realised that the delightful "arms linked in hate" are all white.
Isn't that, like, so racist it's literally genocide?

...Unless some of the arms identify as an arm of colour I guess?

Molokonono · 30/09/2018 16:27

Datun got a post deleted?

OMG.

Watch out now, don't post any breakfast ideas or you will be literal toast.
