Amidst the casual use of TERF, demands to ‘Do better’, ‘Delete this post’, aggressive policing of who has liked posts that display wrong think.

These people, largely young daft women and TRAs, TERRIFY me with their authoritarian humourless intolerance. These are the people who were demanding witches be burned 300 years ago.

I actually fear for a future in 20-30 years when this lot are in charge. Rooting through people’s ancient social media history for evidence of past wrongthink. It makes me want to move to the darkest Amazon to be honest. So frightening.

I find this kind of thing so profoundly depressing. All that rage and passion could be doing some good.

I know. Imagine getting as upset about climate change or FGM or male violence against women and channelling into that instead of someone liking Julie Bindel.

I was going to say - that's a genuinely terrifying thought.

Glasgow Women's Aid has the cheek to like a comment about nakedness, and now we're all supposed to stop supporting them because they're 'slut-shamers'. Like they ever supported GWA in the first place. It's bad for one's brain to read the comments of such terminally stupid people.

I can't see the tweet but on the basis that I'm sick to death of women being told what the fuck they can say I will be donating to them. Any other takers?

So depressing that some people think that those working at a rape crisis centre might have better insight into the factors that lead men to objectify and subsequently abuse women. Also they seem to believe that screaming "transphobia!" is now a killer final argument. The fact is that this post wasn't even about anything trans, but the thought police are now working off the old McCarthy playbook: "are you now or have you ever liked a GC article..."

Furious as well that some of them used it as an excuse to demand that a rape crisis shelter's first responsibility should be to protect some men or they'd take away their fictional contributions. How dare they think that putting greater strain on scant resources for vulnerable women to coerce them into putting those women at greater risk is anyway fecking way progressive.

I hope one day they are thoroughly ashamed of themselves.
