He’s not afraid of being controversial (I certainly don’t always agree with him!) so I hope union members are now going to be given the opportunity for meaningful discussion as to how changes to the law could affect workplace rights.

How surprising.

There's an interesting Twitter exchange today. Paul Embury (FBU) tweeted that he had received an open letter from 30 of the union's female members about the GRA.

And who were the people who gave him some stick for saying that they needed to be heard? Yes that's right - some blokes in the union, wanting him to go out of his way to listen to the argument FOR allowing men into women's spaces.

Personally speaking, I would LOVE to hear someone justify the reasons without using the words TWAW. I've never heard one reason yet that doesn't mention gender identity. Have you?

Ain't it just? So now I need to take the time to email again. I guess the 120 assessments I need to mark will have to wait. Maybe they are banking on all of us teachers being too busy, because the NEU do nothing to lighten our workload.
