I'm very disappointed. A mature balance needs to be sought between safeguarding trans people and women alike. More than many other MP's he was well positioned to walk that line and to have been a respected, unifying, wise voice working with constituents.
He's shown himself to be thoroughly naïve politically and under researched on the subject, for taking sides in such a divisive, reactive way at this point in the national debate. He's bringing heat not light and that benefits absolutely nobody.
