Disappointing politicians - so many, I don't know where to start.
But I think the ones in conservative govt (Penny Morduant, Maria Miller) are just desperately misinformed. I think they, like many, have not looked into the real ramifications of trans ideology, and are just going along with the idea that "if we don't endorse trans, we'll be like the tories in the 80's who denied lesbian and gay rights.
It's time we really examined the differences between LGB and T. Because when examined, various aspects of the T is in direct contradiction to the LGB - cotton ceiling, "if you really love someone you don't care about their genitalia" etc. It' a direct contradiction to every lesbian & gay man who has argued for decades that they are same-sex attracted, and yes, genitals and male/female bodies matter.
