Nhs and single sex wards

I work for the nhs. For years now we have had single sexed bays apart from icu, hdu, ccu and sometimes assessment units. How will the nhs deal with the mixed bays? They are fined for single sex breaches, it's puzzling me as if this lunacy is passed, a man saying he's a woman can be placed in a female bay, just for saying he ids as a woman with no GRC. Surely this will mean that nhs England will have to draft in a whole new load of policies to deal with this, and more staff on the wards to monitor the situation. Sorry if this has been talked about before.

So that boat has sailed.

No it hasn't. All these things can be challenged. And will be.

Too bloody right. If the Women and Equalities Committee can write a report recommending the removal of women's rights it can just as well recommend clarifying and strengthening them.

Purported feminists my arse.

No, hospitals are still required to provide monthly figures on breaches in single sex provision & are fined.

@HeGotManFlu It is worth fighting for single sex wards. As I've said elsewhere go on to a elderly medical ward where some have onset dementia. I'll say the women are vulnerable. I'll also say those with dementia often lose social inhibitions.

Handy link, checked out trust and there were 15 breach's which is better than Medway which was over 100. Writing a letter to my MP today . Also NHS England.
