Deleted on Instagram for saying 'biological women'

Marmite have a special edition LGBTQ jar with a part of profits going to Stonewall. I commented I was disappointed that they'd support an organisation that excludes lesbians.

A very polite person asked me to expend on that and I mentioned the activists violence towards biological women etc. Nothing I said was anti-trans in any way and nobody engaging was arguing or being disrespectful.

Someone asked me which male orgs excluded transmen so I went back to comment and got a message saying my comments had been deleted Hmm I don't know what their policy is but I'm really surprised to be honest (I don't know why though, I guess this is just How Things Are now).

It will be Marmite who deleted it rather than Instagram. It’s a shame and I’m totally with you but some poor social media manager managing 250 accounts will be deleting anything controversial from every post.

I got a notification from Instagram itself saying something about violation - I don't think you get that if someone just deletes it under their own picture?

Sounds like someone reported it to Instagram. I’d contact Instagram and find out - we have to start standing up to this fascism.

Marmite won't delete comments saying they hate Marmite. It's part of their USP.

Stonewall sound like they're on thin ice with people who would have previously been their allies, like all the local Prides. They come across as a corporate money hoover now, so it doesn't surprise that they don't give an actual crap about actual Lesbians...

It doesn't exclude all lesbians. Just lesbians that don't want a pens involved in their sex life ever and want to be able to say so up front when seeking a sexual partner.

Yes re PP read a thing the other day about Stonewall being in shit with all the local prides. They are hoarding cash, and instead of supporting the prides including possibly finanially they are expecting free stuff - wanted to be treated like some kind of amazing special guest / royalty.

I get LGBT+ surveys at work from Stonewall and they are always exclusively about Trans. Never about the L, teh G or the B. Not even a mention.

Interesting chat at a work event a few weeks back, gay men saying they thought people with dicks shouldn't be in the with women, like it's obvious, etc.

Despite their pressure they are not hitting the mark all the time.

Sadly I did notice my wok has replaced sex with gender in some equalities blurb.
