Brilliant

heresyandwitchcraft · 05/07/2018 18:57

Thank you! Thank you Kristina! Flowers

FlippinFumin · 05/07/2018 19:35

Just fucking wow. I have fallen a little in love. Star

Not only does she make sense, she also proves you don't need to dress and make up like a ho in order to pass as a woman. In fact Kristina passes more than any other transwoman I have seen, including MB. And yes, I am more than happy to use she.

I am going to send this to my daughter, who I suspect is beginning to become a little more gender critical every day.

KatVonSweet · 05/07/2018 19:56

Thank you sister

TransplantsArePlants · 05/07/2018 20:06

Thank you Kristina. Great speech

PeakPants · 05/07/2018 20:10

I think she is great. I was surprised about the other thread criticising her because it's very clear that she is on the GC side.

MsBeee · 05/07/2018 20:13

Oh My God, so clear, articulate and brilliant !! Sister !!!

Strigiformes · 05/07/2018 20:17

Wow! Thanks for posting that video. That speech was incredible. Thanks Kristina Flowers

GenderApostate · 05/07/2018 20:23

Kristina appears to be onside but describes themself and their wife as Lesbians.

PeakPants · 05/07/2018 20:32

I thought it was her wife who described herself as a lesbian?

FloralBunting · 05/07/2018 20:38

That was truly exceptional.

BoreOfWhabylon · 05/07/2018 20:46

There is a sickness at the heart of this ideology and it reeks of narcissistic male rage

Nailed it.

Thank you Kristina. I hope you are a Mumsnetter!

@JustineMumsnet please could you take 20 minutes to watch this ahead of your meeting with Penny Mordaunt?

Gentlygently · 05/07/2018 20:47

That is so clear and calm and articulate.

chocolateymilk · 05/07/2018 22:49

what a beautiful, introspective human being. wow, nails it! I'm drawn to this persons human nature. Made me think

Floorplan · 05/07/2018 23:58

Such a summary of just about everything. A true allie!

BettyFloop · 06/07/2018 00:57

I think Penny Mordaunt actually needs to meet with Kristina in person. What a very thoughtful, measured and articulate person.

BeUpStanding · 06/07/2018 10:57

Great speech. Well done Kristina!

Theswaggyotter · 06/07/2018 23:23

Fantastic speech and really heartening to see a transsexual speaking about the harm being done by current trans ideology. She’s amazing! Flowers

SarahAr · 07/07/2018 10:30

Sadly another quisling who identifies with her oppressor.

My feminism includes all women and that includes all trans women.

I am Spartacus.

PeakPants · 07/07/2018 10:47

Sadly another quisling who identifies with her oppressor.

Obviously she is incapable of having a mind of her own...

JennieLee · 07/07/2018 10:51

What does 'I am Spartacus' mean? (Clearly have not been paying attention at the back.)

FloralBunting · 07/07/2018 10:55

It means SarahAr loves appropriating stuff that doesn't belong to them...

FloralBunting · 07/07/2018 10:59

Can I just point out, erstwhile lurkers, that this speech is well worth your time. It is reasonable, entirely focused on the rights of women and the oppression they face, and is in no way reactionary.
I just really want you to notice that this individual is being deemed a 'quisling' for stating this reasonable position. TRAs brook no nuance, no questions, no debate.

I'm sure you can come to your own conclusions about who is the oppressor and who is the oppressed in this situation.

TransplantsArePlants · 07/07/2018 11:28

JennieLee

To precis very vaguely and from memory (google is your friend) : it's from the film Spartacus. Spartacus is a Roman slave who incites a rebellion which is ultimately unsuccessful. When they come to capture him to be crucified, his captors ask for Spartacus to make himself known. He stands up. But, so beloved is he and the cause he stands for (freedom and truth) that one by one others stand up and say 'I'm Spartacus'. It's a very moving bit of cinema. And Tony Curtis (first crush) plays S's great friend.

So basically: I'm standing up and being counted
