Good morning sisters.

OP posts:
Popchyk · 20/06/2018 09:19

MNHQ don't seem to be responding to anything apart from deleting posts from those people who misgender specific people who have told MNHQ that they are distressed by being misgendered.

I'm hoping MNHQ are using their time usefully to expel the vexatious reporters. Maybe that is Phase 1 of the grand plan.

Shock and Awe yet to come.

bluescreen · 20/06/2018 09:20

Morning all. I fear I stepped over the mark on the MOJ thread by referrring by implication to anatomy that owner of said anatomy was actually boasting about online, so I'm standing in the corridor waiting for the cane.

Sciencelogic · 20/06/2018 09:23

Morning
Looking forward to the day ahead.

ResistanceIsNecessary · 20/06/2018 09:30

Hi all.

BeyondSceptical · 20/06/2018 09:33

Blue, you lost a life for referring to the umm... surprise, did you? Wtaf.

That is exactly one of the examples where I would have interpreted (from the explanation given by HQ) that referring to biological reality is okay. And that is exactly why I am struggling to decipher what "the rules" actually mean, in plain English. Ffs.

bluescreen · 20/06/2018 09:44

Ah, no, BeyondSceptical - sorry I gave that impression. I haven't actually been sanctioned yet, but this whole situation is so illogical and unpredictable I'm half expecting it. Confused

BeyondSceptical · 20/06/2018 09:53

Ah I see. Yeah I've had a few posts that in hindsight I thought might, maybe cross the line too, as I'm not entirely confident of my interpretation of where the line actually is!! As yet they haven't gone, but maybe I'm just not the focus of the targeted reporting yet - and I'll get all three strikes in one go!

DuddlePluck · 20/06/2018 10:01

Morning all.

AtreidesFreeWoman · 20/06/2018 10:03

Morning

One life down.

No email.

Oh, and try an advanced search on your own posts to see if any have been deleted.

MNHQ have altered the search function. You won't find any of your deleted posts show up at all in search any more. It's like they never existed. So without the email, we can be picked off without even feeling a thing.

gendercritter · 20/06/2018 12:36

I just realised I have one strike against me. I don't check the email account often that I signed up with.

It was thanks to a fairly robust criticism of a well-known charity.

To be honest I'm pretty pissed off. There are certain things which it should be ok to say. Charities sometimes get things very wrong. Kids Company is one example. I am massively critical of a charity related to my illness, as are many other patients. Sometimes criticism is extremely important. Criticism isn't the same thing as making threats or slandering someone. Charities make mistakes. That isn't related to trans issues. If you get public funds or people giving you their hard-earned money, you should be subject to public scrutiny, in my view.

Popchyk · 20/06/2018 12:42

It just seems so unfair.

There was a thread in Chat yesterday about Robbie Williams. There was scarcely a post that didn't call him a dickhead or a narcissist.

And yet no deletions.

As Alan Hansen would say "Where's the consistency?"

spontaneousgiventime · 20/06/2018 12:46

BOO!

Two down still.

ChattyLion · 20/06/2018 12:50
Pratchet · 20/06/2018 12:51

Just got my first, rather surprising, but now I have a much clearer idea of what's acceptable. I'm afraid I might be bothering the mods with more reporting of the posts of others. They must be so bored of this at HQ.

gendercritter · 20/06/2018 12:55

Exactly. And that's worse, because it's basically being rude about an individual and not just the work he's doing. It's one of many (many) reasons I don't want to be in the public eye - I would find personal attacks distressing. But they happen by the millions online. My post wasn't a personal attack. It was criticising how the charity have acted and what I believe they are encouraging, which I judged to be a fair assessment of the situation. Robust, yes, but fair.

MsMcWoodle · 20/06/2018 12:56

Here, but off on holidays for a couple of weeks so if I'm not around I may not be on the naughty step.

spontaneousgiventime · 20/06/2018 13:08

The cessation of hostilities thread could get me the red card. Thursday's register will tell.

BarrackerBarmer · 20/06/2018 13:20

I can't help but wonder if some MNHQ mods are secretly wishing we would in fact do a bit more reporting on our end. There are probably a few posters who contribute significantly to MNHQ workload.
The GC posters tend to let GFs stand, whilst the GFs maliciously report everything that moves, and the mods have to act upon it.

I wonder if they would be grateful if we could help dispatch the trolls like we've seen this week a little faster so that proper discussion can resume.

spontaneousgiventime · 20/06/2018 13:23

I very rarely report anything. It has to be blatant before I do. Even so the little fuckers love reporting me. WAR is declared.

BarrackerBarmer · 20/06/2018 13:23

It turns out that my deleted post didn't count towards a strike.
Which is good to know.

There is reasonable discretion being applied by some of the mods, which is reassuring.

BarrackerBarmer · 20/06/2018 13:24

I rarely report too.
