Or are we just so fucked that we can t even laugh into/from the abyss.

Gaze long into an abyss, the abyss also gazes into you.

I was locked in the stationary cupboard and banned but am back, most likely not for long but
hey can we use 女性 ? or is that against these new rules

Hey lady

If humour isn't allowed then there is no point to any of this

I think some of the modding recently has come down hard on piss taking

Im guessing those symbols won't be allowed Grin

LadyJaneGreyspen · 15/06/2018 12:44

ahh i see I was thinking about a niace feminist tattoo, but his lordship isnt so keen and you know I have to ask his permission even to get a check book or mortgage as i think we are back to the 1800 s right?

Anyway i am torn between
I heart G..G or 母 女性

Yeah I have a sense of humour. I even laughed when Hugh Dennis said they were going to get rid of the glass ceiling and replace it with something women would find easier to clean.

Have you seen SandyDrawsBadly on Twitter? she is very funny (loved the one about gender fluid in a bottle which makes people believe anything you say).

Interestingly - in Mandarin Chinese, the he / she pronoun is pronounced ‘taa’ for both sexes, although it’s written differently:

她 She
他 He

SporadicSpartacus
mum is 母 which is a picture graph of boobies.

Humour is essential. I have an extremely dark sense of humour that I generally keep off here because it doesn’t always come across well via the medium of text on a screen.
But if we cant laugh at ourselves and our situations we are screwed. And if you ever come across a group who respond to mockery with violence you know exactly where you stand, eh?

There’s also a BIG difference between the subject of a joke and the target of a joke.

Freespeecher · 15/06/2018 14:30

Humor is non-U.

womanformallyknownaswoman · 15/06/2018 15:13

Welcome back Lady - so you were consigned to an offsite gulag? For stationery crimes?

I was reminiscing about the stationery cupboard just yesterday - it seemed saner in there.

MsBeee · 15/06/2018 21:59

Hello

I have absolutely no sense of humour, really to suggest such a thing.

I’m a feminist I’m far to busy bunging my bra at patriarchy.

MsBeee · 15/06/2018 22:00

I also am very busy knitting my feminist manifesto

LadyJaneGreyspen · 15/06/2018 22:01

womanformallyknownaswoman yes it was my rubbish pen jokes and being a lady that got me in trouble. I know better now. I am just quietly stabbing my cross stitch like a good little girl.

There is loads of laugh out loud humor. Man Friday in a Mankini, sandy draws badly. Some stuff that is not meant to be funny is hilarious like 278 genders or whatever we are up to now. Yes I know it is bleak sometimes. 🍷

AngryAttackKittens · 15/06/2018 22:14

Humor tends to afflict the comfortable and comfort the afflicted, when done well, and clearly we can't have that.

For which specific offense were you temporarily exiled to the stationary cupboard.

(Bit of a cheap substitute for Siberia, it has to be said.)

Popchyk · 15/06/2018 22:27

Made me laugh the other day when there was a lot of "that will be the hill that I die on" stuff regarding MNHQ's diktat (dicktat? Wink) of only referring to male people by the sex that they are not.

And someone said: "We're gonna need a bigger hill".

That was a reference to the film Jaws for the younger folks on here.

AngryAttackKittens · 15/06/2018 22:28

Also possibly portable loos and a snack kiosk.

Clinicalwaste · 15/06/2018 22:30

‘We’re gonna need a bigger hill’ 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

BettyFloop · 15/06/2018 22:30

I think humour is one of feminism's greatest assets. It reaches people in ways that nothing else can.
Plus, it keeps us sane(ish)

mancheeze · 15/06/2018 22:31

Plenty of women who post online make me lol, I just wonder how effectively I'm conveying the true sense of my laughter.

Like someone on here said many men in dresses were like walking Duluth models or summat like that and I desperately wanted to convey how funny I thought that was.

MsBeee · 15/06/2018 22:41

Lady Jane

Have you been a naughty feminist. In the GC closet with you.

Sorry to hear about your breasting problems. I will knit you a specialist bra. And specialist goggles to protect your eyes.

LadyJaneGreyspen · 15/06/2018 23:07

MsBee Why MsBee thank you for your kindness. I will cross stitch you a sampler of Emmeline Pankhurst.

‘We’re gonna need a bigger hill’ 😂😂
