I may have mentioned bikes on here before but.. There is A) a facebook group campaigning against cyclists where I live. (Previously I may have mentioned that it's run by a pimp. It is. ) There is also B) a nice, well-behaved group who produce beautiful, well-balanced, fully-referenced posts about how good cycling is for health and the urban environment which nobody reads.
Now recently some disgruntled cyclist set up a group specifically to rip the piss out of Group A. It burgeoned! And grew phenomenally! And the next thing you know, it's being featured in the local rag because our friend the pimp got wind of it and called the police for "hate crime". It's all great publicity!!
Humour is a bit of a blunt instrument - because brevity is the soul of wit - but it gets people's attention and - if people are laughing at your jokes, you've got them on side.
