Since advertising seems to be the fulcrum of all this,

Please.

I get all sorts of ads ATM.

But there’s a difference between the direct advertisers and the others, I think. Does adblocket block everything or just the indirect ones?

Ive got adblocker and i get nothing

I would be interested in a list as well

But not interested enough to remove the ad blocker Grin

Do you mean which ads we see when we open these pages? Just seen: Audible. Trainline. John Lewis. Beer Hawk. Game of Thrones. Sainsbury's. M&S.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 14/06/2018 14:55

I took my adblocker off for MN when they committed to allowing gender critical debates. If this seems to have been an empty promise, not only will I take it off, I'll be off too. I can discuss The Archers elsewhere.

JP Morgan advertising on this page as well as Beer Hawk.

Oh that’s handy. So maybe start with them?

Hopefully someone who understands the difference between the types of advertisers on MN will be song soon to advise us.

I’ll start working on a handy list of contact details. I have a conference call but then I’ll be back.

There are different ads depending on what country you are from. I have a VPN and have that set to a US address and so I get American ads, switching it to a different country and the ads change as well.

rainingcatsanddog · 14/06/2018 15:17

You might want to list the companies who do product tests and competitions on MN too.

averylongtimeasspartacus · 14/06/2018 15:18

I only use the app and only one I see if fairy non bio

LadyLance · 14/06/2018 15:43

I only dip in and out of these threads, so I'm not sure exactly what has happened- however, I think the easiest way to put financial pressure on mumsnet would be for all posters on these threads/forums to install adblock and agree they would remove it if mumsnet backed down on whichever guidelines they don't like. Adblock blocks all adverts and prevents mumsnet getting revenue for clickthroughs etc.

I think most adverts on mumsnet are [google?] generated as they often change based on previous google services. I guess some pay direct- the product testers etc. must, and I guess the ones that get big main page backgrounds. Sorry, I'm not explaining this very well.

No, you are. That makes sense,

So that must be an advertiser with a direct business relationship with Mumsnet?

So Fairy Non Bio’s SM is;

mobile.twitter.com/fairy_nonbio?lang=en

m.facebook.com/FairyNonBio/

And the manufacturer’s contact details (P&G) are here;

www.pg.co.uk/contact_us

They’re also sponsoring a GOSH fundraiser so they’re clearly targeting parents.

I don’t know about anybody else, bug I’ll be telling them that I am the spending decision maker for a family of five and will boycott them if they support trans campaigners who are seeking to alter the legal definition of women.
