When did the trans people take over this hash tag? I'm really ticked off.

The nature of hashtags is they can be used ironically, mis-used, re-used - it’s the nature of Twitter.

Maybe time to get #peakgender trending instead — as most of us are gender-critical, not trans-critical.

Someone - Dyketagnan? - on Twitter once suggested #peakGIT (where GIT is gender identity theory). I quite like that because it is clear that the opposition is to an ideology and not individuals. That distinction is doubly important for those of us who dislike postmodernism/social constructionism on a wider level and not just on gender issues.

Sounds like it’s come full circle and the gender critical point is being made for us, with 0 effort.

Looking at what's been tweeted, they aren't doing themselves any favours. Especially the exclusionary tweets, made without any apparent sense of irony,

Compare and contrast with how women acted on the man friday that fell on an international day for trans people.

Twitter is useless.

Twitter has been weaponised by some people deliberately and strategically in the name of TRA. I am increasingly of the opinion that a great deal of harm is being done to many who are transgender.
I rather suspect that the small number who are having such a detrimental influence may have been inspired by Sun Tzu's 'Art of War'! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Art_of_War

Hopefully at some point, just as Facebook is coming under scrutiny, the use Twitter will soon also be investigated....

Twitter has been weaponised - and in very serious ways. The Russian bots spreading Brexit/Trump stuff.

This is the best thing to happen. Let's people dig their own graves. Keep posting 'killaterm' memes. People won't be persuaded by them. It proves the point that TRA and MRA ideology have become practically the same thing.

The majority of the tweets seem to be about cuteness, how transwomen are cuter than women. Being a woman isn't about being cute. Let them have the #, I think it's a great way to see the sexism and homophobia in the movement all in one place.

Let them. It proves our point. Show me a death threat from a feminist, even a non credible one. I've e searched. Never seen one. They show this woman hating movement for what it is.

The tirade of hate you get if you make a comment. All non sensical, 'you are trying to deny we exist', stuff. Not related to what you actually say at all, and then load of 'huns' pile on to like their scabby comments. I don't think they are winning any friends, to be honest.

It would be nice to think they will be pulled up for the death threats, but the reality is there is a ton of money behind this movement.

I would bet that those tweets will not be removed and the tweeters will continue with their violent posts.

This is why feminists' posts are being removed, but TRA/MRA posts are not.

They do it from time to time, but they've no stamina / low boredom threshold. They'll forget soon enough.

So the people organizing this think that publicly threatening to murder noncompliant women makes trans activism look like less of a problem and the people who're pushing back against its overreaches look bad?

I'm in agreement with you there, that I reckon there's a ton of money behind this agenda. Its all very sinister. I'm not very knowledgeable on these matters, but from what I've read and inferred it seems to me that most of the political parties have signed up to this ideology. Why? Trans rights are important but why blurring of biological differences? Why are some of these activists promoting children to have a right to choose their own sex? Where is this leading to? What is the real agenda?
