But Julie and Liz really get it and he looks ridiculous. His outrage at the lack of top was marvellous.

I hadn’t seen the print edition and am super pleased that the quote they highlight is “it’s about safety and dignity” which is probably the most sensible thing I had said in all the interviews, and captures both sides of the argument against men in women’s spaces.

Excellent - that dudebro was so uncomfortable...and that indeed is the point.

Someone should tell that male Sky interviewer to lean in.

You people have inspired me - just felt compelled to say that.

My DP peaked trans'd me and I'm grateful. But you lot took me to new heights on the mountain of peak trans.

Fucking aye! The Indy have linked the petition GrinGrin

I’ve found their coverage of this stuff shit up to now - using “CIA” in headlines etc. Glad to see this.

Great Independent article. Well done Olivia and Julie.

Just been to the Daily Mail site article.
Now much higher proportion of comments are now pointing out why she is doing this and the stupidity of self defining .

The Indy article is brilliant. And they linked to the petition! I am so pleased.

So far, it's The Mail, The TImes and The Indy who have covered it. Resounding silence from that rag, The Guardian. The Guardian cannot die a horrible, financially humiliating death soon enough.

The male Sky presented did not get it. At all.

Report
TerfyMcTerface · 18/03/2018 12:49

Is t there some sort of minimum intelligence threshold for presenters? Or requirement that they get up to speed on issues before they get in front of the camera for a given show? Surely there should be?

He really didn't get it did he?! At pains not to let Julie be seen as anything other than a silly sideshow. I just retweeted her links, so that's me Out on Twitter GrinShock

Anyone would think that the mail might have an agenda too (just not sure what it is)

I think the mails agenda may be...those batshit crazy feminists!

Like, the best rated comments seem to be along the lines of 'feminists want men to have nothing for themselves' and such. Regardless of the wording in the article, the men reading seem to have taken it as women trying to stop men only sessions out of spite. Rather than as retaliation.

I bloody love Julie Bindel. I wish she could always be on telly when this issue is being debated. Could have done with her on the Daily Politics today for a bit of balance!

So boobs are "offensive" but cocks and balls aren't, eh? So telling. Women, please kindly and understandingly accept whatever shit is thrown at you, since your spaces don't matter anyway. Men, your spaces are sacred, how dare some woman take herself and her boobs into them?

I don't get why they're so mad about women self ID'ing too.
Surely that's what people for self ID'ing WANT?
Why does it only work one way? Are we all expected to just shut up and let it happen?

Yes again!
Well done both those women and JB
More incidents like this are needed to raise this issue to those who are not 'woke' yet.
Where I live, there are women only swim sessions for orthodox jewish women - I wonder whose rights are top trump if a TIM tried to maneovre into their swim space?
