You know thats what they will be demanding next...all those bepenised ladies - just as a cover for those whose transgenderism is on the agp side to get another one over on women

There have been a few suggestions of this.

On the plus side, less piss on the seats in the cubicles. It’s not much of a plus side.

iamawoman · 16/02/2018 22:27

Noted that the female / gender neutral (whatever) urinals designed by men !! I think unless women are well practised in the art of peeing standing up at home, you are not going to want to try it out in public !! I think after several children my aim might not be so good.

I think that would be almost impossible. I did have to get used to the hole in the floor loos in a recent trip to Italy - hadn’t seen them for years....,,,

thebewilderness · 17/02/2018 02:18

Once all the restrooms are unisex they will install urinals. This has already been done in some Uni. Basically we are sliding toward the wider edge of the wedge that will eventually drive women out of the public sphere.

VaguelyAware · 17/02/2018 02:39

Women don't need urinals.
If transwomen are to use women's toilets, they should use them as women do. Otherwise, logically, their argument that "Transwomen are Women" doesn't stand up. Rather like a woman using the loo actually.
If Transwomen don't like this, they should find a toilet that has a urinal.

The only option that can keep everyone happy in this scenario, is to have all public toilets single cubicle with a proper door (no gaps), a sink, hand drying facility, sanitary bin, & mirror in each. To be accessed from a central area. And perhaps a separate section with urinals & sinks in. All of which would be labelled as "all gender" areas, obviously.

TheQueenOfWands · 17/02/2018 02:45

Surely they'd want to sit down to pee?

I had/have (although now just FB friends) a close friend with gender dysphoria and one of the symptoms noted in all of the literature they had on the subject was being frustrated at not being able to pee standing up. They were F to M, obvs.

And if they're wearing ladies clothing surely standing up to pee would be quite awkward?

Jon66 · 17/02/2018 03:02

What utter drivel.

TheQueenOfWands · 17/02/2018 03:16

Do you think?

I read some of the literature (leaflets and similar) and that was definitely what it said.

That was about 20 years ago though. Maybe things have changed/moved on.

How transphobic! You obviously can't be a real woman because you don't know how to use a lady-dick!

AngryAttackKittens · 17/02/2018 09:41

It is possible to have a penis and pee while sitting down. Why can't they just do that?

(We know why)

Also I once attempted to pee in a urinal in my drunken yoof and would not recommend it. Though to be fair it might be easier without the booze.

Women do not have a penis, therefore why would we need a urinal in a WOMENS loo?

They can fuck right off.

That BBC article links to this article from 2017www.standard.co.uk/news/london/barbican-to-review-genderneutral-toilets-after-furious-row-over-long-queues-for-women-a3509136.html
Barbican to review its gender-neutral toilets after furious row breaks out

The Barbican Centre will carry out a review after a furious row was sparked by its decision to scrap some male and female toilets in favour of "gender neutral" loos.

Signs outside the London art centre’s cinema screen have been changed to say "gender-neutral with cubicles" and "gender-neutral with urinals".

But the new facilities were slammed as "totally ridiculous" by broadcaster Samira Ahmed on Tuesday, who told the Barbican "women have enough trouble with queues without imposing your politics".

The point being Women voted with their feet and didn't want to use the gender neutral toilets when given the choice...

panjandrumpyjamas · 17/02/2018 22:58

i think we all just have to get used to seeing more willies out and about..

LizzieSiddal · 17/02/2018 23:05

If I see a Willy “out and about” I’ll be reporting it and it’s owner to the police.

smithsinarazz · 18/02/2018 17:09

To be fair, this hasn't happened. It wouldn't be a great idea, but it's important not to construct straw men.

nNina22 · 18/02/2018 17:13

Transmen will soon get fed up with having to queue for a cubicle in the ladies

thebewilderness · 18/02/2018 19:02

According to Rocket News 24’s Meg Murphy, the urinals were installed at Shaanxi Normal University, where they were painted pink and adorned with giant signs asking the women to use the urinals instead of the stalls if possible, because it can save up to 160 tons of water a day.

I’ve used some Women’s loos with a few little urinals for young boys - nearly made me walk out first time as i thought I’d taken a wrong turn into the mens.

I’m more concerned that men’s loos are bring left slone and women’s are becoming gender neutral. Did visit a family day out venue with this interesting set up.

Belindabauer · 18/02/2018 20:10

Well if we can use any toilet I'll be going on the one with the shortest queue.
Interestingly, i visited a pub where the women's toilets were out of use so they made the men's available to both sexes.
They put a sign on one door for women and the next one for men, both toilets within the men's section.
Every single man who came in did a double take and stepped back outside was told the women's were out of action, came back in, didn't use the urinals, looked embarrassed, stumbled around and finally went into a cubicle whilst avoiding eye contact t with the women.
The women were less embarrassed.

If I see a man using a urinal in a woman's toilet it won't be me who gets embarrassed.
We need to stop bowing down to this.
Let them inand make it clear it is them who are the 'others' and will be treated as such.

gillybeanz · 18/02/2018 20:14

why would a woman need a urinal when we don't have penises?
Any man peeing in a urinal in the women's would surely get the piss taken out of them.
I'd stand and laugh, tell them the mens is next door, wouldn't most people assume they'd made a mistake?

iamawoman · 18/02/2018 20:29

Gillybeanz - where have you been - you would be accused of being transphobic as we are talking about urinals for lady penises that are attached to ' laydeez'
