What do you all think if this? It doesn’t seem fair to me

Men are actually enjoying women's games - a relative of mine loves it. I'd like to thank all the Brit gender critical women on his twitter thread for saying things Australian women can't or won't. I'd probably lose my job.

Transgender Woman Anne Veriato to Make Her MMA Debut vs. Male Opponent

Whatever the outcome, this transwoman will show up the likes of Mouncey, Fox and Hubbard for the cowardly jokes that they are.

thebewilderness · 16/02/2018 02:56

The first year that the incredibly popular women's football is going to be given the money and facilities they deserve the men will begin to take over.

LeslieKnopefan · 16/02/2018 04:29

Batshit!

Also surprising for Australia which tends to be pretty right wing. Let’s remember they have only just voted for gay marriage.

Aussie Rules is very physical sport, also as there is a lot of throwing of the ball features such as arm strength will give a huge advantage.

Women’s sports are about to go from little coverage and most people not really caring to a laughing stock!

LeslieKnopefan · 16/02/2018 04:37

And to add to my last post...

If you decide to transition from male to female then have some respect for women.

It’s like moving to another country and deciding to impose the way you want to live on the new country!

Learn about what it is really like to be a woman and how women who have got to the top of their sport are generally overlooked and paid very little. Realise this and have the respect to not participate in a sport that you have an obvious advantage just by your build and height let alone the muscle mass of a man!

I’m beginning to think Rachel Dolezal wasn’t as crazy as we all thought - hey why can’t you decide to define yourself as another race the way you can decide you are another sex!!

Rant over.

Emerencealwayshopeful · 16/02/2018 06:24

I’m not surprised that it took only this long for the first female teams to be colonised by a man who can only win when he has a huge physical advantage.

But I’m not seeing anyone here in Australia actually standing up and saying that this is batshit crazy. And I keep trying to work out why we (collective) are destroying women’s sport before it has a chance to exist long enough for girls to be able to have aspirations.

Rachel Dolezal was only doing what we keep being told is acceptable in many other spheres, asserting her imagined/desired identity as truth.

Most people are blind to the remorseless misogyny behind trans ideology.
You hear someone say "I identify as a woman" and to those who hear it, the words tap into an automatic reflex something along the lines of
"This person has a deep understanding of womanhood and affinity with women, they are an ally who is sympathetic to women"
This is most people's immediate response and it takes a huge slap to realise the opposite is true. This is why trans women have gotten so far in trampling on women. People just can't believe they would do that.
Another thing is the "I feel like a woman inside" To challenge that you're basically saying "I couldn't give a fuck how you feel" no nice person likes to say that we (women) tend to care about people's feelings, It takes a huge slap to be able to say that, so most people can't bring themselves to.
So on it goes... and no one says anything. No one sees it.
It's a monumental game of gaslighting.

Patodp · 16/02/2018 08:06

Also people in Australia (probably) aren't standing up because the TRAs have successfully dominated all discussion on the issue do everyone is afraid of being "transphobic" which is to most people is just the same as "homophobic" because the movement has successfully latched itself to the LGB movement despite being deeply homophobic.
It's genius, really.

Patodp · 16/02/2018 08:06

Disclaimer I'm not Australian.

deydododatdodontdeydo · 16/02/2018 08:51

My husband (6' 1", 11st) would stand no chance against him, let alone women.

thebewilderness · 16/02/2018 20:11

From what I have read in some comment threads a lot of men are excited about watching him legally beat women half his size into submission. Stefonknee and the rest of the transgendered trans age males will be insisting on their right to compete with children. There is one here in the PNW who goes to the playground dressed like a dolly to film himself masturbating.

Ereshkigal · 16/02/2018 20:23

But I’m not seeing anyone here in Australia actually standing up and saying that this is batshit crazy. And I keep trying to work out why we (collective) are destroying women’s sport before it has a chance to exist long enough for girls to be able to have aspirations.

I've seen an AFL Facebook page where many (mostly male) commenters are very much doing that. Perhaps it's more a case of mainstream media going along with the charade.

MaidOfStars · 16/02/2018 20:28

She wasn’t shit on the men’s team.

She’s a former male Olympic handballer with elite levels of strength (I’ve numbercrunched her deadlift and clean PBS), recognised widely as an incredibly gifted and incredibly strong natural athlete.

She could easily play male AFL. She chooses not to.

ICJump · 16/02/2018 21:12

I’m Australia. It’s a fuck disgrace. However gender identity is already a protected characteristic in our anti discrimination law.

InfiniteSheldon · 17/02/2018 06:50

Hannah Mouncey broke a woman's leg whilst playing at a regional level which is not surprising at 6 ft 3 and 15 st 10 lbs. I could cry how can we, as women still be so powerless

Geronimoleapinglizards · 17/02/2018 09:01

If you have true gender dysphoria, I cannot understand why you would a)want to draw attention to yourself and b) bulk up as much as you can, which surely is only goung to make you look even more male.

I still haven't got my head around Hannah. It seems so strange that someone who is essentially an alpha male would welcome the loss of status by making a tit of himself claiming he feels like a woman. It just doesn't make logical sense to me.

Childrenofthestones · 17/02/2018 09:37

Valentinesfart said, ....

"The BBC have been as kind as possible only using a head shot I think."

I think manipulative as possible is another way of using it.

xxmarksthespot · 17/02/2018 09:47

"I still haven't got my head around Hannah. It seems so strange that someone who is essentially an alpha male would welcome the loss of status by making a tit of himself claiming he feels like a woman. It just doesn't make logical sense to me."

It's a fetish. There's no more logic to it than that.

AngryAttackKittens · 17/02/2018 09:50

Google autogynephilia, Geronimo, and it will all make sense.

DontBuyANewMumCashmere · 17/02/2018 09:55

Valentinesfart you asked how the people who are playing with Mouncey feel? (Something like that - sorry I've already forgotten having read through the other posts!)

I recently found out that one of my local women's rugby teams nearly had to fold because their rivals and another local women's team (incidentally from an army barracks town, if that is relevant?) now has three TIMs on it.

So basically a fifth of their team are physiologically men...

I played rugby for over 10 years from uni and beyond. I was a second row. I'm 6' and weighed between 12 stone and 16 stone during this time.

Our coaches were usually men (and friends) and they would usually happily show us a tackle etc but always go easy on us with lots of compassion and care (plus sometimes awkwardness and embarrassment!) in any contact.

I still wouldn't have wanted to take a full strength tackle from a man, especially if they were fully trained and actually trying to take me down.

This is so scary.

FairfaxAikman · 17/02/2018 10:13

Christ almighty - can they not see it’s a recipient for disaster to put someone who’s is biologically predisposed to being heavier and stronger than the biological female opponents on the same field?
Or will it take a woman being seriously injured for the penny to drop?
Women’s sport exists precisely because it is not safe to pit them against biological males - for example the heaviest back on the Scotland women’s rugby team is more then five stone lighter than Richie Gray, the heaviest male back.

DontBuyANewMumCashmere · 17/02/2018 10:21

Or will it take a woman being seriously injured for the penny to drop?

Hasn't Mouncey already broken a woman's leg playing football?
And Fallon Fox broke a woman's jaw?

I guess they're waiting for paralysis or death, are they?

FairfaxAikman · 17/02/2018 10:25

@DontBuyANewMumCashmere that's what I'm guessing!

FairfaxAikman · 17/02/2018 11:33

Just realised I said backs when I meant forwards
