What excuse can a man use for killing his wife?

This article makes it sound like a medical condition drove this man mad and he then killed his wife and tried to kill her son.

How is this possible to report this now like this!

Fgs, you don't attempt family annihilation because you've got tinnitus. This man did it because he was a violent controlling misogynist. I would bet he would have done it anyway without the tinnitus.

It breaks my heart that in nigh on every article the man is straight out excused, such as in this case, or the woman blamed (she was cheating, he suspected her cheating, she was going to leave him) and again, his behaviour excused. It's horrendous.

That is horrific. And why mention the arseholes tinnitus? Other than an attempt to mitigate. I know a few people who suffer from tinnitus. No justification for murder. None at all. It's disgraceful reporting. Hateful against women

I have tinnitus on and off my entire life. To date, I've never killed anyone. There's been times when I was sorely tempted, but I LTB instead, it seemed the more sensible option.

It's abhorrent that men are still allowed to get away with this.

I think this is a Coronor's Court verdict. There is no one on trial for murder as he killid himself.

Ever since a man was cleared of rape using the defence that he fell penis first into her vagina (Independent article here) I have come to the conclusion that there is no pile of bullshit so self-evidently false that it cannot be successfully used as a defence in a UK court of law by a man who wants to get off with charges of harming or killing a woman.

I used to know someone who tried to kill his wife when he found out about her affair. DH had several letters from him in jail, none of which showed any remorse whatsoever. She drove him to it apparently. All her fault he got charged with attempted murder because if she hadn't had an affair he wouldn't have done it would he? Still got out early on parole though.
