How do you feel women are portrayed in perfume advertising campaigns and what are your opinions? sexually objectified, equal/dominant/submissive to men? do they set unrealistic expectations, stereotypes?

what are YOUR opinions? discuss

OP posts:
KulamLobeseder · 01/10/2014 10:05

Why do you ask? I for one don't respond terribly well to being ordered to discuss something without actual input from the OP.

FuckOffWeasel · 01/10/2014 10:14

She said disccuss, Lobeseder! SO get on it!

PetulaGordino · 01/10/2014 10:17

is the OP the one who was posting random pictures of sexualised images of women in perfume ads the other day?

TortoiseUpATreeAgain · 01/10/2014 10:25

And once you've finished discussing this, OP wants you to answer more questions -- quick now, make it snappy!

OP, if you are genuine, you're going to get further on here if you post sharing why a particular issue has you thinking about it right now and what your own initial thoughts are (even if still nebulous). Posters don't take well to things that look like GCSE essay questions.

Discuss? Really?

Do you want fries with that?

Maybe it's group work?

PuffinsAreFicticious · 01/10/2014 12:26

Discuss?

Too intellectual for this poor wage slave. Perhaps next year when I'm allowed my brain back.

And who the hell do you think you are, ordering people around like this?

IrianofWay · 01/10/2014 12:28

Hang on, how many words do you need and how long do we get to do it in?

I've always felt that women are portrayed in an extremely dominant and realistic way in perfume advertising

AMumInScotland · 01/10/2014 15:38

DISCUSS DAMN YOU!

Can't you see the OP has a deadline to meet!

GilbertBlytheWouldGetIt · 01/10/2014 15:47

yay it's this poster again, he's my favourite. Moved on from feminism and legalised brothels, I see.

My opinion is that perfume ads are a complete waste of time and space, because all that matters is the smell. Not totally unlike this thread, possibly.

TortoiseUpATreeAgain · 01/10/2014 15:58

Perfume? Oh, you mean scent. Perfume's a bit... well... non-U , isn't it?

Anniegetyourgun · 01/10/2014 18:27

What's the prize?

YonicScrewdriver · 01/10/2014 18:42

Buffy, I once got a better group mark than my fellow "worker" because I lost the will to explain it to her AGAIN and just handed in a corrected version of her section plus my section.
