i am so pleased this was taken seriously by the courts

Downamongtherednecks · 02/09/2014 18:55

Wish I knew what the sentence is likely to be.

PetulaGordino · 02/09/2014 18:58

in that bbc article it reports that the judge suggested a prison term may be likely

scallopsrgreat · 02/09/2014 18:59

Such good news. I see he was claiming it was 'satire'. Yeah. Course it was.

No idea of what the sentence is likely to be. Hopefully custodial.

CaptChaos · 02/09/2014 19:02

another link

The man is a joke, his tweets weren't.

I've posted on the pub thread but halfway down this page are a selection of the tweets sent to SC and CCP.

It's all Radfems fault though, we have no sense of humour and make the internet a sad place for misogynistic twunts people to be. Oh, and Twitter, because we all have a right to have multiple accounts from which to harass people.

MerlinsUnderpants · 02/09/2014 19:31

I can't believe he has the nerve to say today is a bad day for free speech. What an utter bell end. Yes free speech is all about violence, rape and abuse and making sure women shut the fuck up. I hope he gets a prison sentence and the police start taking all these crimes more seriously.

Is there a campaign to have violence against women a hate crime or is this just pie in the sky as it seems most of society is bloody doing it.

CaptChaos · 02/09/2014 19:34

Hopefully, given that he is completely unrepentant, he will be given a custodial sentence. I doubt it though. iirc there should be another couple of cases to go with regard to this??

fishdishwish · 02/09/2014 20:27

What a deeply unpleasant individual he seems. I wonder what his partner thinks of him?

CaptChaos · 02/09/2014 20:27

He's appealing!

Twunt Angry

PetulaGordino · 02/09/2014 20:52

and he has a 3yo daughter. poor girl.

Downamongtherednecks · 02/09/2014 20:53

fishwish I seem to remember his partner said it was "just a joke" and she couldn't see the problem.

Downamongtherednecks · 02/09/2014 21:09

Did anyone else see that he tweeted during the trial that the prosecutor, Alison Morgan, was a witch? Isn't that contempt of court, as well as bleeding stupidity?

OP posts:
CaptChaos · 02/09/2014 21:16

Well! Colour me shocked.... he's pally with that delightful chap Bucannon*

Free speech my arse.

Squidstirfry · 02/09/2014 21:16

Ugh what a ghastly piece of human being.
"It was just a joke"
"She should take it as a compliment"
"free speech"

It is a very good day for everyone that this man is to be sentenced.

I just feel so sad inside because he is not the only one with this exact mindset and there are many many more men just like him who won't ever be sentenced.

ABlandAndDeadlyCourtesy · 02/09/2014 21:22

Bell end.

DoctorTwo · 02/09/2014 21:35

What a fucking ginormous cock he is. Hope he gets time in chokey.

Downamongtherednecks · 02/09/2014 21:50

squid I feel your pain, but at least this tosser's conviction MAY deter the morons with the same mindset from sending rape tweets to women and causing alarm and distress.

OP posts:
TeWiSavesTheDay · 02/09/2014 22:05

Agreed - fear of punishment can be useful!

Also what an arsehole.

Darkesteyes · 02/09/2014 22:46

Ah yes I remember him Hes got a thing about women being witches.

And apparently he runs a security company if I remember correctly.

Knob!

scallopsrgreat · 02/09/2014 23:29

Ahhh! That's who he is . Thanks Darkesteyes.

Yep. What a knob.

zippey · 02/09/2014 23:35

Scary if you go onto his twitter feed, theres a whole lot of support for him, almost as if he is fighting a crusade for free speech! Unbelievable.

CKDexterHaven · 03/09/2014 00:42

These shit-for-brains arseholes have no idea what free speech actually means. Making explicit and specific violent threats is not covered by free speech legislation. Making violent threats towards a person is actually a violation of that person's free speech.

I feel so sorry for his poor daughter with a pair of woman-haters for parents. What's it going to be like being raised by a man who threatens to rape women for expressing an opinion? What's it like going to be like being raised by a man who clearly fantasises about raping women?

Zazzles007 · 03/09/2014 01:19

It is really sad and depressing to see yet another example of a man making rape threats against a women. Anita Sarkeesian getting rape/death threats, and now this turd Peter Nunn making rape threats against women. It is about time that rape (and other) threats against women are taken seriously and the perpetrators are charged, and if found guilty, incarcerated. It is a disturbing and dysfunctional development that this piece of scum has any support for him whatsoever. Anyone who makes rape or deaths threats to another person, especially someone they perceive to be weaker than they are, should be held up to be the arseholes and degenerates of society which they truly are.

ifyourehoppyandyouknowit · 03/09/2014 10:25

I hope he gets a decent sentence, what a vile man.

Free speech doesn't mean freedom to make specific, violent, threats against another person. And the thing she was campaigning for was so inoffensive! Fair representation of historic figures of both sexes, FFS.

scallopsrgreat · 03/09/2014 10:38

Just realised you said he's friends with Buchanan, Capt Chaos. That really doesn't surprise me. Buchanan is all about being a respectable/respectful 'oppressed' man. Shows what a load of bollocks that is. It doesn't take much to show their true colours.
