Man cleared of kerb crawling because he is impotent.

Well this is a novel excuse, is it not?

He claims that he wasn't using teen age prostitutes, even though though the police found one in his car, because he was suffering from impotence.

Have no fear, the patriarchy has ensured that the teenage prostitute was charged. Angry

We used to live in a red light district and I don't think I ever saw or heard of a prostitute getting in someones car with out invitation. They aren't prostitutes because they are lonely but because they need to be paid.

thisisyesterday · 15/03/2011 19:02

it's ok to do anythjing else?

scurryfunge · 15/03/2011 19:04

Shame on the court for believing that crap.

GlynisIsFixed · 15/03/2011 19:17

InmaculadaConcepcion · 15/03/2011 19:24

nethunsreject · 15/03/2011 19:33

The comments below it - ffs

HerBeX · 15/03/2011 19:41

Yet another example of people being willing to believe any sexual abuser as long as he's male.

This girl is a child ffs. And she was cautioned. FFS.

sethstarkaddersmackerel · 15/03/2011 19:43

anyone watched/read South Riding? He ought to be a character in it!

nethunsreject · 15/03/2011 19:48

As excuses go, it's on a par with 'I was holding the drugs for my mate'.

Susiewho · 15/03/2011 19:51

BeerTricksPotter, yep I thought that "Mayor" mustn't have harmed his case either.

I'm also pissed off because he thought he'd better have a pizza as his wife wouldn't be home to prepare his tea! Aaagh!

SardineQueen · 15/03/2011 20:05

Haven't read it, not going to, feeling the rage [anger]

David51 · 15/03/2011 20:17

I just went there & left the comment 'What a pathetic excuse. Of course he's guilty - prostitutes don't just jump into people's cars at random'

hopefully that should burst a few Mail-reading blood vessels

HerBeX · 15/03/2011 21:17

LOL I bet they won't print it

HerBeX · 15/03/2011 21:17

They never print my comments. Grin

sethstarkaddersmackerel · 15/03/2011 21:20

they probably can't print 'of course he's guilty' for legal reasons tbh.

Daily Mail perfected

aliceliddell · 16/03/2011 17:50

HerBex the reason the DM never print your comments is because they know you are a bitter man-hating lesbian with hairy legs. oh, and a moustache.
This story is v similar to the one here in Mudway where the Tory councillor got nicked when the prostitute got in his car when he was lost. Still did the police re-education course and accepted the caution though. The local police just got an award fo'Safe Exit' anti-prostitution project. I thought Tory councillors supported the police....

sethstarkaddersmackerel · 16/03/2011 18:10

it is amazing, all these prostitutes who hop into men's cars for no good reason. You would think what with the high rate of assaults on prostitutes and their vulnerability once they're in the car, that they would only do it when they have to, wouldn't you? but no, it seems they regularly just get into random cars of men they have never seen before without even being invited.

AyeRobot · 16/03/2011 18:13

It's akin to the She kept my semen for a decade defense. I bet there's at least one jury member who thinks that's perfectly reasonable.

Omg20 · 16/03/2011 19:49

This is starting to get really annoying people starting misleading threads like this he wasn't cleared because he was impotent he was cleared because there was no evidence and they could not prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he was soliciting. Whether he is guilty or not that is another matter but there is no evidence and none of you were there you cannot know whether or not he was guilty.

"Bench Chairman Brian Collins said: ?We believe the accounts given by the police officers, however after taking into account all the evidence in this case we cannot be sure beyond all reasonable doubt there was a positive act of soliciting on the part of the defendant. We therefore record a verdict of not guilty."

Here is a more accurate account of the incident.

On a side note: The girl got into his car and then got out. Why would she do that? I thought to myself maybe they seen the police but then I found out that the police were undercover in plain clothes. So that seems to tie in with his story.
