No, I said nothing for weeks!! I couldn't shut up any longer so I quickly copy and pasted!

It's funny when I made a negative comment one bloke said I must be jealous because I couldn't get a job, and then commented that one of the Hooters girls had nice Hooters.

AliceWorld · 30/01/2011 15:00

Posie there some identifying ones at the end! Kids.

ThePosieParker · 30/01/2011 15:02

Oh poop! I'll set them to private.

southeastastra · 30/01/2011 15:02

fgs how depressing :( who would take their kids to such a place?!

ThePosieParker · 30/01/2011 15:04

I know and then make them pose, although I married a man who's 21st birthday cake was a pair of breasts.

AliceWorld · 30/01/2011 15:05

embarrassingly I actually just cried when I opened the one of the little boys posing with the hooters girls... Sad

My dp thinks I am mad and I guess I am a bit hormonal today but WTF??!!! I feel so helpless.

My DDs will be dating this kids in a few years time...

Made worse by the fact that football is on TV and there's a big 'Hooters' banner across the tunnel thing the players walk through.

I've been in contact with my MP and several members of the council in my home town as I've heard a hooters is planned but they've all just said there's nothing they can do as thy aren't licensed as 'adult'

Blackduck · 30/01/2011 16:11

But its all good family fun Hmm

southeastastra · 30/01/2011 16:12

i find it totally odd that a mother would let her child pose for a picture like that

LadyTremaine · 30/01/2011 16:31

The mother probably idnt know.

I can imagine the sort of dad who would allow this regularly goes to stripclubs and takes his sons to hooters as a premliminary grooming until theyre old enough to move on to the 'man' stuff

JessinAvalon · 30/01/2011 17:53

Thanks for this Posie. I wanted to scream when I saw the photo of the boys with the group of Hooters girls. Why do people think this is ok? Do they think they're doing their kids a favour by taking them in and exposing them to such blatant sexism?

Anyone I know who has had the misfortune of walking past the place has said that it's always practically empty. Which is good. Let's hope the overpriced and unattractive food puts people off.

I do think the men who visit the place are utterly tragic.

And I don't want to miss the opportunity of mentioning good old M&S again as their involvement helped Hooters to open up in Bristol. Thanks Marks and Spencer! This ex customer won't forget.

LadyTremaine · 30/01/2011 18:07

Shit damn and blast I forgot about all that M&S stuff and have been shopping there again. Damn my tiny memory.

JessinAvalon · 30/01/2011 18:16

I can't bring myself to shop in there again, probably even when Hooters in Bristol shuts down (here's hoping!). I feel very let down by their decision and subsequent response. I expect sexist crap from Hooters but I thought better of M&S. It's a pain because there are times when I could do with going in there.

ThePosieParker · 30/01/2011 18:18

I posted on their wall......a mother responded telling me how proud she is of her daughter working there, funny, bright and clever.........I said I'm sure she is but I wouldn't think her employer had ever noticed.

OP posts:
LadyTremaine · 30/01/2011 18:28

Quite Posie. She wouldnt be so pleased if her DD was overwieght/not blessed with conventionally good looks/ was disabled and got turned away.

Will she be pleased when her daughter gets sacked for being too old? Or for objecting with a customer for making inappropriate advances? It's in the contract of hooters empoloyees that they have to accept that they may be subjected to thi skind of thing.

How the hell do they get away with such blatent discrimination. Why is 'beauty' not in the equal rights act????!!!!

ThePosieParker · 30/01/2011 18:30

Too true. Oops just noticed the grammar the title.

OP posts:
LadyTremaine · 30/01/2011 18:32

(... toddles off to 'Pedant's'... that Posie...) Wink

MumofRachel · 30/01/2011 18:55

Becky (Hooters 17) must make her parents so proud. Sigh. Sad

MumofRachel · 30/01/2011 18:56

It's funny how few customers there are in the background of most of these pics!!!
