I will attach a photo if its allowed?
Hi guys, has anyone ever had a similar thing on their labia mjr before? I dont even know what this thing is called so I can’t look it up online 🫣 i checked hpv/herpes pictures and it doesn’t seem to be one of them. I have no pain or itchiness and its not fluid filled.
I have a severe health anxiety.
Any advice appreciated. Clinic is closed for the weekend. Thank you !

Looks like it tbh

It looks like it

Unfortunately you've posted in the wrong group, genealogy means history of your family not sexual history.

valentinoandme · 01/02/2025 16:19

You might want to ask to get this moved to a different topic (just report it and explain) as anyone researching their family tree might be a bit shocked to see that photo!

coconutdreamxo · 01/02/2025 16:50

Sorry guys im literally having a panicked brain so didn’t check properly🤣🤣 i believe its moved to womens health now.

i never had any cold sores or anything similar to whats on my labia now. Had myself checked at the beginning of January and all tests and bloods came back negative. I remember the doctor did say the only way to detect it is visually. So by the time Monday comes it will disappear as its going down now. I thought herpes come in clusters? Also i have no pain whatsoever

It’s hard to tell, it isn’t a typical presentation based on my (not a medic) knowledge.

definitely try to get an appointment at the SH clinic so they can swab it and test.

if it comes back positive, it really isn’t the end of the world and no need to panic, this could be the only time it ever shows itself. The most challenging part for most is sharing their diagnosis with potential partners

Happydaisydoo · 01/02/2025 17:02

Looks like genital warts so yes HPV not high risk type just warts you can have frozen off

azafata2 · 01/02/2025 17:07

Sorry to say that they look like cold sore blisters. I am surprised you do not feel anything though so maybe not? They are usually sensitive and painful . Wishin you the best.

Noodge · 01/02/2025 17:09

I have a lot of experience with this, and IME it doesn't look like it. Going against the grain. Pm me if you want to share further information or reassurance.

ChiliFiend · 01/02/2025 17:15

I would go to a walk in sexual health clinic rather than waiting to see your GP, if you can - that way you can get an expert looking at it while it's still there. Good luck.

OldTinHat · 01/02/2025 17:28

If it's herpes, trust me, you won't be able to sit, wee, walk - the pain is horrific during the first outbreak.

If you can do all of that pain fee, it'll be something else.

Unknown2630 · 01/02/2025 21:07

When did you get it? I will give it few more days and see how it goes and depends on that i will go to doctor. Is it noticeable from outside or is it because you went super close and zoomed it look like this?

its not like a blister type more inflamed and irritated tissue but white colour as opposed to red when inflamed it that makes sense

My only issue is it will be gone by Monday i believe so no way to check it now …

Thank you yh its soft and doesn’t feel like a blister or a ulcer type of thing. Just looks like an inflamed irritated tissue but its white instead of red (as opposed to red inflamed skin)

Thanks, is it possible that the first outbreak could ever be pain free ?

As a person lucky enough to have had genital warts AND herpes (and CIN3), I don’t recognise this. Hope a medically knowledged person can assist.

I’ve attached another photo, last night yes it was noticeable, a bit bigger than a pea size. Its going down now and by Monday it will be gone i reckon so they wont be able to swab anything

My first couple of herpes outbreaks came alongside me being really poorly. Full on tonsillitis the first time and flu like symptoms the second. Less sick, but they remain painful every time. Flipping heck, I’m nearly at the 20 yr anniversary 😫

Lavenderandbrown · 01/02/2025 22:52

With one photo and at this time I do not believe it’s herpes. Herpetic breakouts are painful itchy and may be accompanied by increased vaginal discharge in a female due to overall irritation. Keep vigilant. If you have increased “sores” or pain or burning or general discomfort have a culture done.

PourMeABrose · 01/02/2025 22:54

Does it feel quite solid when squeezed? That’s what a nurse mentioned to me fairly recently. She said early warts feel quite “gravelly”. When I had warts, they were totally painless. I don’t remember them being pale. It was about 17 yrs ago tho!
