I will attach a photo if its allowed?
Hi guys, has anyone ever had a similar thing on their labia mjr before? I dont even know what this thing is called so I can’t look it up online 🫣 i checked hpv/herpes pictures and it doesn’t seem to be one of them. I have no pain or itchiness and its not fluid filled.
I have a severe health anxiety.
Any advice appreciated. Clinic is closed for the weekend. Thank you !

Actually if you look at warts, some do look like that.

Does it feel quite solid when squeezed? That’s what a nurse mentioned to me fairly recently. She said early warts feel quite “gravelly”. When I had warts, they were totally painless. I don’t remember them being pale. It was about 17 yrs ago tho!

Just feels soft however the sensation when touched feels like a boil or a pimple underneath. Its a bit sore as if it was a boil

As a person lucky enough to have had genital warts AND herpes (and CIN3), I don’t recognise this. Hope a medically knowledged person can assist.

Thank you

I've just googled and there are pictures that look very very similar.

Genital warts: Signs and symptoms
Genital warts appear in various sizes and shapes. Some people get a few warts. Others get many warts. The most common signs (what you see) of these warts are:

Small, scattered bumps that are skin-colored or a bit darker.
A cluster of bumps that look like cauliflower.
Growths in the genital area that can be raised or flat and smooth or rough.

Genital warts often have no symptoms (what someone feels). Sometimes the warts itch, burn, hurt, or bleed.

I’ve attached another photo, last night yes it was noticeable, a bit bigger than a pea size. Its going down now and by Monday it will be gone i reckon so they wont be able to swab anything

Yup i think that as well. It doesnt look bad for me tbh i mean all looks normal and yes just a little area that is a bit swollen which is going down again as you said. Wait few days and then you can post an updated version :)

BrummiMummi · 01/02/2025 23:21

I don’t think warts would go down and you can get spots/ cysts down there just like anywhere else so I would try not to worry - would just go to a walk in if you can

Titasaducksarse · 01/02/2025 23:45

Looks more like wart than herpes.
I had herpes and was more of an open ulcer like wound. Very sore. Where I had the open sores peeing was absolutely excruciating .

However I never had another breakout and had this when I was incredibly run down so I now think it was another virus.

overthinkersanonnymus · 02/02/2025 00:11

Herpes tends to be really red and angry. This looks similar to VIN.

Angrymum22 · 02/02/2025 01:32

It doesn’t look like herpes because it doesn’t appear vesicular, but it could be wart or any number of benign skin lesions. However if you’ve had unprotected sex with a new partner it’s worth being checked for everything.

i looked it up and it seems symptoms of VIN appear on the vulva, mine is on the labia majora. Xx

Edited

Been with the same partner for a while unless ofc he slept with someone else. Got a full negative tests at the beginning of January, but maybe he had done something afterwards that I caught (if its not hpv/hsv).

my biggest worry is that the GUM clinic won’t be able to detect anything because it will be gone by monday - the lesion has gone down significantly now.

@coconutdreamxo the labia majora is part of your vulva. VIN can appear anywhere on the vulva, up to the anus.

Hopefully it's just a bit of eczema or dermatitis but it definitely needs confirming.

Good luck

overthinkersanonnymus · 06/02/2025 20:08

How's your fanny doing @coconutdreamxo

coconutdreamxo · 06/02/2025 20:34

Confirmed herpes type 2.

@coconutdreamxo at least you have an answer now. It's possible you've been a carrier for a while and it's just erupted due to stress or illness.

Take care x

ChiliFiend · 06/02/2025 21:36

Sorry to hear that :(
