I have a photo of what is happening and I'm horrified and scared.
About a week ago I felt discomfort sort of between the front and back of my private area. I assumed a spot or a scratch or something and ignored it. Over the week the pain has become quite bad, particularly as it's by my underwear line and walking/ sitting etc has become very sore. The area also hurts without all of this.
I haven't looked or told my partner until tonight and he suggested I just take a look to put my mind at rest and now I feel much worse.
There's 3 noticeable different coloured 'things' and I wasn't expecting it at all.
Background is clear sexual history (both of us) and never ever has this happened before,
I've obviously googled warts etc and it says there shouldn't be pain but there very much is.
So I'm asking if anyone has read this far, if this is something to cause undue worry over,
I'm so alarmed I've been very tearful, I couldn't even tell my partner what I found because I was so embarrassed.
I will attach a picture, I'm sorry. Thanks

Kind of look like spots that have been scratched ?
I know if I've had a spot in that area the are very sore

Spirro · 02/11/2023 22:30

Warts are more flesh coloured and they aren’t painful. That just looks like spots or sores. I suppose it could be herpes? Leave it alone and see if it goes away.

theduchessofspork · 02/11/2023 22:30

I’d say scratched spots too.

Have you got a sexual health clinic near you to get it checked out? Or get a nurse appt at your GPs. I don’t think it’s anything but always good to check.

StarDolphins · 02/11/2023 22:35

I get these, they last a while too & are very sore, they feel like tiny boils. I put it down to hair follicles/shaving.

Are they itchy?
Kind of looks like ingrown hair but pic is abit bad I'm very pale and mine go purple and they itch! But I only ever get 1 at a time. Do u have a sore throat or pain in your groin?

bxjvfjb · 02/11/2023 22:38

I do currently have a bit of pain.
(I'm certain it's not herpes) and definitely no scratching. Although I've had some bleeding and been wearing pads, I don't usually so maybe it's to do with the pads 🤔
I feel better for hearing it doesn't look like warts for some reason that was worrying me the most

I want to call my gp but they insist on a phone triage and my job is one with no privacy at all or place to go that you can't be heard even in the loo so the thought of giving these symptoms over the phone is worrying me already

If you’re worried about a health issue you need to get medical care - not ask a bunch of strangers on the internet.

Doggymummar · 02/11/2023 22:40

They should let you send a photo, or go to pharmacy and show them. I did that with an anal fissure

Burnamer · 02/11/2023 22:41

can you not explain to your manager that you need to use a meeting room/ private space for a GP call?

LightSpeeds · 02/11/2023 22:43

I think you need a proper examination. Do you have a sexual health clinic locally?

bxjvfjb · 02/11/2023 22:46

Thanks pp, my gp isn't open late at night though. Good tip though, cheers for your insight.
No, sadly not there literally nowhere private at all
I will ask about the photo link they did used to do that during covid.
And thanks, I will look into a sexual health place I've never had to look for one but assume there must be one somewhere not too far away

Go to a sexual health clinic. They will diagnose it straight away and treat it. It looks to me like you may have had something like small skin tags that have become inflamed. I once had one and the elastic on the leg of my pants rubbed on it- it became inflamed and turned black. I was terrified. Sexual health clinic Dr took a look, diagnosed it, froze it , removed it and that was that. You don't need a referral.Just go.

Unicornjellyfish · 02/11/2023 22:53

Are they open sores? Could be the start of ulcerative impetigo. You will need antibiotics if it is. Don’t let them fob you off with cream, you need oral.

mommatoone · 02/11/2023 22:58

OP what makes you think they are not herpes? They don't look like it from your picture, but they can start off red and turn into blister like spots. Oh and generally you feel like absolute shite! Id keep an eye on them and take pics if they change shape/ colour etc and send to your Gp. Hope you feel better soon x

bxjvfjb · 02/11/2023 23:05

@mommatoone our sexual history rules this out.
Thanks to all, I feel somewhat relieved by these replies and I will look for somewhere now and get myself seen asap

They look like inflamed boils/spots to me. I get these after shaving. Wearing a sanitary towel can also make them a lot worse if the spots are in an inconvenient place I.e. knicker line.

Doubledodecahedron · 02/11/2023 23:08

I have no idea but would suggest putting some sudacrem on overnight to prevent bacterial infection and getting checked out by std clinic (if it doesn't improve). And yy to asking for a private room to make a medical call, or to go in late or to your car if you drive.

KarateSchnitzel · 02/11/2023 23:09

Sorry should add, mine get very painful too. Definitely worth a visit to GP though to put your mind at rest

shas19 · 02/11/2023 23:17

You can actually have herpes for years a d don't know it so still wouldn't rule that out

BlueEyedPeanut · 02/11/2023 23:20

It could be hidradenitis suppurativa.

Anetra · 02/11/2023 23:24

There’s no medical care at this time of the night for that. She’s therefore seeking some advice from other women and the quickest and easiest way to do that anonymously is on a forum. A perfectly sensible and understandable thing to do

ganglion · 02/11/2023 23:26

Oh dear, that looks really sore. It looks like herpes to me (possibly first outbreak if you've not had one before) but if you're in that much pain you need to go to your local sexual health clinic.

Whentheboatcomein · 02/11/2023 23:30

BlueEyedPeanut · 02/11/2023 23:20

was just about to add this. I have HS and get boils\sores that look just like that in the same places as well as arm pits, under boobs and down my sides.

nxhxhb · 03/11/2023 06:44

Hi, I'm op I quickly changed name again to reply.
Again, not herpes. I know people love it to be more sinister but it's not

But having an aha moment a bit because a couple of years ago my armpit was treated for painful lumps and this makes sense.
Thankyou Flowers
