Rash on breasts! Help please

I've had these veins/rash on both of my breasts for around 2/3 weeks now, they're a lot more prominent when my breasts are cold, but fade considerably after I've been in the shower and they're warm. It's just concerning me as they've randomly appeared, any ideas?? I will be contacting GP but was just wondering if it's happened to anyone else.

Yes, I have exactly this on both boobs as well. They appeared after I had my first child, worse when cold and virtually disappear in the shower.
Had them checked out with the GP and they are spider veins totally harmless.

Did you find out or have you still got this?

VampQueen78 · 15/09/2023 19:12

Did you manage to find out what it was?
The way you have described it, is exactly how mine are. weird isn't it.
I have a 5 year old and I'm in my mid 40's
are they Thread Veins? or Spider Veins? do you think? because it doesn't look like a rash (mine doesn't)
Mine don't hurt or itch, But I have decided to get an Opinion and hope to hear back from them soon. If I find out what it is, I will let you all know.

Hi, I have very similar markings on both breasts. I did notice it a while ago when still feeding my youngest who is now 7 months old but wasn’t concerned, however still there so going to get it checked out. Have you found out what it is? I have appointment with GP in a few days, thanks

Randomness1 · 23/10/2023 15:14

Hi ya,

did anyone find out what they was? I have the same which change colour if I’m hot/cold stay red or dark blue/purple

Ddddea · 03/11/2023 01:44

Did you ever find out what this was? Curious as I have something similar

Carter1234 · 03/11/2023 07:53

I had an appointment with advanced nurse at surgery and she said it’s nothing to be concerned about. Said that it is probably from breasts being larger when pregnant/ breastfeeding. Said I could try and use moisturiser to see if it helped change appearance. But stated she didn’t think it was anything to be concerned about as I had no pain and no lumps felt. However to go back if I was still concerned x

Randomness1 · 05/11/2023 01:47

I also had mine checked out & my gp said just hormonal, weight of breast and bra choice, and go back in 4 weeks to investigate further if not getting better, but have also upped my cup size and got a full cup bra and noticed the colouring has decreased and not so purple now and more reddish x x

Randomness1 · 07/11/2023 11:45

Did you check your out?

Rhiannabanana · 30/12/2023 15:03

Did you get this checked in the end? I have really similar symptoms.

Rhiannabanana · 30/12/2023 15:27

Can anyone offer any advice I'm very concerned! I started off with a small red rash near my nipple on my left boob. This faded considerably & the doctor was not concerned. I realised that this read mark was small red spider veins I think. I then noticed I have them in other areas on both breasts but they seem to randomly flare up. Sometimes it almost looks like a rash and sometimes it's hardly noticeable. In the last two days I have developed a new small red bump on the same left breast in a different area. This one is slightly raised and almost a bit like a spot or bug bite but when I look very closely I do think there are veins underneath. However it is slightly raised, but there is no itching. I have had general aching pains and sensitive nipples on and off for weeks. Other info is that I have changed brands of my contraceptive pill but my doctors assure me they are the same hormones? So I don't know if this could make a difference? I understand nobody can offer medical advice but I'm unsure what to do now as I went to the doctor twice before with regards to the first initial marks and feeling embarrassed to go back again when they have said its fine. The first pic was the initial rash which has now faded and I can just see tiny read veins which show up more after showering. Second pic is of the new red spot/ bit on same boob but again think I can see small veins. Sorry for the long post ots hard to show clearly in pics. 😔

@Rhiannabanana

i had something similar and freaked out about inflammatory breast cancer. Went to see a breast specialist and dermatologist and they both told me it was nothing, prescribed hydrocortisone and it faded after a few weeks. I’ve found little bug bite things too and they’ve faded after a few weeks too. The specialists told me that if it was IBC I’d definitely know about it and it doesn’t look like that, hugely swollen, hot and rock hard were adjectives they used. Try not to panic!

Rhiannabanana · 01/01/2024 02:16

OK thank you for your advice. Will try to take it on board and not panic.🙂

Mom1012 · 31/01/2024 20:12

Did you hear back from your doctor? I have the exact same thing on my breasts.

Mams23 · 06/02/2024 20:54

Hi I’m just curious did anyone find out what it is as I first found the pigmentation on my left breast after I found out I was pregnant and went to get it checked by gp because I was concerned and got sent to hospital to do some scans and everything came back clear but the pigment never went away fast forward to 1 year and a couple of months later and the pigmentation has spread further along my breast went back to the gp last week and told me there’s nothing to worry about but I can’t help but feel worried, I don’t breast feed either☹️

TwinklyHelper · 22/02/2024 04:44

Did you find out what this was? I have something very similar on both my breasts and I'm too scared to get it checked. 😔

Mams23 · 19/03/2024 20:53

Did you ask for further investigation? Or did they want to check?

Vee17 · 04/04/2024 10:41

Please keep us updated.. my breast look very similar to yours. No pain/itching. Just concerned. Praying it’s nothing serious! 🙏🏼

Vee17 · 04/04/2024 10:42

@Mams23

Mams23 · 04/04/2024 10:56

Hi I’m still waiting on confirmation from the breast clinic to find out what it is, doctors wasn’t concerned but I am so I’ve pushed for further tests, I have no itching or pain but if you’re concerned there’s no harm in having it checked by a professional to put your mind at ease x

cherisexx · 05/04/2024 08:43

What said your doctor about what it is?

cherisexx · 05/04/2024 08:52

Did you went to the doctor already?
