Rash on breasts! Help please

I've had these veins/rash on both of my breasts for around 2/3 weeks now, they're a lot more prominent when my breasts are cold, but fade considerably after I've been in the shower and they're warm. It's just concerning me as they've randomly appeared, any ideas?? I will be contacting GP but was just wondering if it's happened to anyone else.

I’ve had the same thing for a while now and just recently have noticed a break in the skin. It’s only slightly discomforting when touched but I can’t get into my gp for 3 weeks. Has anyone received results for their rash yet?

@makk so I originally started this post. I had a referral to the breast clinic and when I saw the specialist she was very confident that it was nothing. She couldn't feel any thickening so at the time it could have been a hormonal fluctuation. In my case I was happy to listen to the specialist. Since then nothing has changed or progressed. I do occasionally have the spider veins flare up but I think they are unrelated.
If your worried you should get checked out. Tell them you need an urgent appointment. If you don't ask for it the receptionist will just treat it as standard as they are overrun. Explain you have an open scab on your breast and there is redness and inflammation. Your really worried . Sometimes you have to slightly exagerate so they will get you in.
Hope you get it sorted but I'm sure it will be OK.

I am also struggling with this but they come and go. They usually appear after a shower or when my breasts are warm... Alot more prominent in my left breast. Been to a specialist but the veins were not there when I was in the clinic so she didn't get a look at what they are like 🤦🏼‍♀️ but didn't seem worried ..all she said was when your breasts are warm the skin is thinner so u can see what's underneath and when they get cold they thicken up and hide more. A normal person would take that ok... But I am anxiety ridden through and through so it's not helped me at all 😭

I was worries too but it turns out the be totally okay. Take that 99.9 percent change for granted and stop googling. It will make you healthier

Thank you for replying... ❤️ Yes it's a daily struggle to just let it drop... With my anxiety in my ear saying " but what if it's something and u ignore it" 🤦🏼‍♀️ I will get there I'm sure. It's my birthday today so Google is a no go zone 💪 xx

I too have had this and it’s so reassuring others have had this and been cleared. I’ve been to the clinic and had bloods but I’m not 100% convinced. Reading your posts has helped me today. Thank you. Has anyone had lumps appear under their am pit with it?

I have what looks like the original poster's photos on my left breast. It had been that way for about 2 years, no changes. Showed my GP, who gave me a steroid cream and was not concerned. Also had a mammogram, nothing found. Since I wanted to figure this out, went to a dermatologist today. He said there does look like a lot of new blood vessels there and there are several things that could be causing this. He took a biopsy and we are starting there. He was a bit concerned because he had some difficulty getting the tissue to biopsy. I'll follow up when I get more results, so far the only doctor concerned is a dermatologist and he isn't sure what it is.

i still have my prominent rash 7 months later but the veins that were purple have turned into a brown colour. It sorta just looks like bruising now. Still no update on the cause. I’ve seen doctors and dermatologists, had ultrasounds, tried steriod cream and no one knows what it is. It’s not painful to touch anymore and the break in the skin has healed. I’ll update photos later today. Has anyone else received a better update?

Aislinnea · 16/10/2024 19:20

I received my biopsy results back. As i mentioned before, I have very similar veins on my breast as the original poster. I have been diagnosed with livedo reticularis. There isn't much they can do to treat this and it's not serious. The doctor said if there is pain to let him know and there are some pills or a cream that can help pain, but otherwise nothing to worry about.

Glad I’ve found this thread as I’ve been getting the same thing on both breasts. I’m 34 weeks pregnant and am now getting breast pain and prominent veins on my left boob but it is impossible to find much info about what it could be, going to book a doctors app this week. Did anyone else get pain with theirsV

Aislinnea · 22/10/2024 17:59

No pain currently, but my dermatologist did say pain is common for my condition.

Hi I’m just curious did anyone find out what it is as I first found the pigmentation on my left breast after I found out I was pregnant and went to get it checked by gp because I was concerned and got sent to hospital to do some scans and everything came back clear but the pigment never went away fast forward to 1 year and a couple of months later and the pigmentation has spread further along my breast went back to the gp last week and told me there’s nothing to worry about but I can’t help but feel worried, I don’t breast feed either☹️

I literally have this do you have an update

Cabincrewgal · 31/05/2025 21:08

Brandyzoeyjj · 10/08/2025 16:50

Hey was wondering if you ever figured this out I’m going through the same thing.

Cabincrewgal · 10/08/2025 21:10

I had the same rash and it turned about to be an unssupportive bra after a breast ultrasound
