Soontobe60 – Thanks for the second recommendation for Sudocreme. I do already wear clean bra daily.
Lipz – Yes, a rash with little bumps that are itchy. Thanks for explaining how your GP helped you. If the Sudo doesn’t work or worsens the situation for me, as it did for you, I will try a hydrocortisone cream and possibly get some Canestan if necessary, too. I do wear a clean bra daily but had no idea that a fungal infection can rub into the bra and stay alive and re-infect if the bra isn’t washed. That’s just…grim.
Pineapplemonkey – Appreciate your vote for daily showering, making sure the area is dry and then applying a layer of sudocreme. Seems as if Sudo is a favourite for this kind of issue.
DianaT1969 – I’ve never used shower gel, just Johnson’s baby soap until it became unavailable for some reason so now I use Cuticura mildly medicated soap bar; it’s blue and rinses well off. It’s the only soap that I can use to wash my face and my skin doesn’t get tight and uncomfortable, and I sometimes forget to use moisturiser for that reason! There’s a TKMaxx store in my town centre so I can get there. Is it their own brand of soap made with vegetable oil?
Thank you all so much ladies for responding. I didn’t expect so many replies. I’ve noted everything and if Sudo doesn’t work, I’ll try the other suggestions in turn until I find something that does suit me and if not, and hopefully with further easing of lockdown, I may be able to get a GP appointment and get it checked out.
**JoleneExotic - Asda liquid talc? Not familiar with that but will go and check out their site!
**MrsMoastyToasty - so Athletes Foot Powder spray actually got your rash under control? I would never have even thought of using that! So glad that all you need to do now is spray APD and add a little talc :-)
Thanks, everyone. I'll see how I get on and come back and let you know in a week or two if there's any significant improvement with the Sudo.
