Hello all.
Really thought it could be helpful to share my experience after stalking (not in a creepy way) the group/threads for some time but never posting.
I had the coil for approximately 3 years, had it removed 2 months ago and am truly surprised how much better I feel. I suffered this thrush for the last 2 years of having the Mirena fitted, at least once a month sometimes twice. The doctor always said the coil wasn’t to blame, 2 months of it out and haven’t had it once. I don’t think this is a coincidence. I some how developed anxiety with the coil which I have never suffered with. Ever! since it’s been removed this has reduced massively. Not one panic attack, tight feeling in throat or feeling like I can’t breath. The constant aching boobs have subsided apart from just before my period. I swear I use to be able to feel it if I sat in certain positions. Pain after sex. I can’t quite believe the toll the Mirena was taking on my body. Anyone had a similar experience?
