Bleeding inbetween periods

Hi all
Wondering if anyone can help me out. I'm really stressed out and worried. My last period started on the 16th of November and lasted 6 days, norm for me.

I've always had blood clots during my period although I had quite a large one this time but nothing huge.

I've had sex twice since my period and bled a little after the 1st time, however since the 2nd time I've had brown rusty looking blood come our when I wipe. Sorry next but is tmi but I hat a wee feel up there and my finger was covered in the same colour of blood but it looked like it had little flakes on skin in it.
I'm due to see the nurse next week to get it investigated.

Has anyone had similar or know what it might be?

I've always had normal smear results, I'm due my next one in spring. About 1.5 years ago I had 2 periods in the same month but it never happened again and my gp wasnt concerned.

I am going through quite a stressful time at the minute and my stress levels are higher than they've been in a long time. I'married so only 1 sexual partner.

Anyone help a girl out or give some similar stories?

How old are you? Are you on the pill or have a coil?

I always used to get brown spotting between periods when I was on the pill. I was told it was fairly normal.

I'm 33, not on the pill or coil. And we use condoms for contraception

Weirdly I've been having the same thing and was actually going to start a thread about it. I was thinking I'd call the gp next week.

It could be a cervical erosion on your cervix, which are harmless and easily treated. You should have another smear to be on the safe side.

I get this frequently. (We too use condoms) I did go to the Drs initially and I was referred for a scan, nothing was found.
I would just go to the Drs so you can be checked out and also so you don’t have to worry again.

Has yours just come out the blue too, snuggly?
Do you have any other things or symptoms?

I've tried to get another smear but they refused to see me until I'm due.(as in I booked in and was the room with the nurse who said her system wouldn't let her do it because I wasn't due it)
Hopefully my surgery can refer me.

Yes totally random! I had a smear about 2 months ago. All fine. We use condoms too.

I'm so glad to hear this is a thing. I was seriously considering going to the out if hours to get examined.

I dont have pain or discomfort during sex. I gave some back pain hurr my husband has similar, our bed is old and rubbish.

I keep searching the internet and obviously its nothing good comes up.

Please try not to worry. Unless you are bleeding really heavily I doubt it's anything so urgent that you (or I!) need to be seen over the weekend. If you are still worried on Monday then contact your gp.
I am in my 40s so wondering if its hormonal changes.
Do you have dcs? My periods have definitely been different since having babies.

When I've been to the GP with this they've done swabs and I had thrush with no symptoms, had it treated and was fine after. Follow up smears were fine. So it can be something trivial

I do have kids, and yeah my periods have definitely changed since they came along.
I had to wear a pad yesterday, first time since the bleeding started, its was really dark purple like with clots 😬 nothing so far this morning but I feel stomach wisely period is here. Quite fed up now and going to phone my gp in the morning 🙁 to see if I can be seen before Thursday.

Definitely go back to your GP & make sure you tell them that it’s happening after sex. I had some spotting in between & he said it can be a concern if it’s after sex (mine wasn’t). Don’t want to worry you but better safe than sorry. If you’ve recently had a smear & it was all good it’s likely to be nothing but I would personally push for another smear test. Good luck

Thanks strictly, I will phone tomorrow. I'm actually due my period in the next few days not sure what will come of that.

I'm also now experiencing some stomach cramps 🙁 I really hope its nothing sinister. Paracetamol and brave face today

I dont think so, we so use condoms but 😳 admittedly we do mess around condom free everytime for a little bit before putting it on 🙈

The bleeding pictures ive looked at have been very similar to a lot of early miscarriages images.

I did take a pregnancy test on Friday bit it was negative.

I have had this for 2 years, sent for scans.. swabs.. gynecologists the lot but cant find anything. I'm 25 in couple months so can have my first smear test then

I had this for a while and like you I did panic and went to the walk in- they couldn't do anything though and told me to see gp. Gp examined me (I remember as had v young kids with me at the time!) I was then referred to gynae at the hospital although gp did say they couldnt feel anything sinister but any unexplained bleeding needs checking out. I was examined again by gynae and had a coil fitted to stop the spotting. This was in between pregnancies and I bled through third pregnancy which was caused by possible cervical erosion so I think it was probably due to this. Wasn't anything sinister but I was very worried at the time. Really important to have it checked though and I do worry when I see all the conception posts about possible 'implantation bleeding' as any unexplained bleeding should be investigated.

Verily, I just had a wee look at fibroids and there are a few things that sound familiar. I don't know if the internet is the best or worst place for information! I'm just so worried because I generally have no period or bleeding issues it's so out if the blue!

I'm ok thanks. Still spitting but less than before. Several times I've felt like I have cystitis but only for a few mins and then the feeling has passed. I've been very run down with a virus for a few weeks now so perhaps I'm just out of sorts.
I hope the gp can help tomorrow.

What brings on cervical erosion? Maybe tmi but would some energetic sex bring on bleeding? Or is that not a thing 🙈😳

Girls, I'm now in a lot if pain left ovary side, like stabbing achy feelings. Not sure if I have more paracetamol and hot water bottle or phone out of hours?
