Hello , I know the "c" word is a very sensitive subject but does anyone have have any personal experiences of cervical cancer ? Symptoms etc , what happened first , how did you feel health wise .

the reason I ask this is I'm seeing a gynaecologist currently and being sent for various tests , gynaecologist has told me there's a chance it's cervical cancer going my my symptoms and deterioration . So look for some advice really . To see if I can relate to anyone else regarding this . Going for the test early next week Said I needed time to get my head round the possibility . I'm only 27 with two children it's such a shock

@adviceneedesprettyplease unfortunately I think it's quite common for this to happenAngry

Although I am still not 100%, I feel SO much better than I have done in years.

A friend last week (who I see regularly anyway) said to me that I look healthy !! My skin has been dull for years and terrible shadows under my eyes.....I was chuffed Grin

@kittywalks the doctors round our ways are awful you go there and they google your symptoms half the time and then give you a prescription . Could of googled it myself 😂

@adviceneedesprettyplease mine too!

The doctor would sit and flick through a manual until they found what they thought best fit the symptoms Hmm

Luckily I have managed to move practice now and they have been fantastic.

@adviceneedesprettyplease good for you.

I found it easier to write everything down I wanted to ask before I saw anyone because my mind usually goes blank when I am face to face with a doctorConfused.

Is it a gynae appt you have on Tuesday? X

@kittywalks thank you for the message ! Went the appointment yesterday . A lot of talking etc with doctors . They where meant to give me a scan but there was not a slot available so going back next week for once . They have prescribed me tablets to stop my bleeding so that they can do a smear next week same day as the scan . And I'm going for bloods tomorrow . The tablets have stopped the bleeding but I feel even more in pain now and more bloated and be pressure has increased . I feel bloody awful . Aside from going the hospital yesterday I've been in bed . I feel so dizzy and sick . I can't wait to have an answer about what's going on . Xx

@adviceneedesprettyplease how frustrating for you but at least you have something booked for next week.
