Go to the doctor.

Shouldbedoing · 03/03/2019 23:38

Please just get it checked out. You won't rest until you do.

TheFormidableMrsC · 03/03/2019 23:42

That needs checking. Call your GP asap. You'll be seen within a fortnight. Please don't leave it. Good luck Flowers

ICannotDenyIt · 04/03/2019 10:31

That is definitely a possible symptom of breast cancer. Try not to worry because most people who are referred for breast screening DO NOT have cancer. It does, however, need checked ASAP.

Contact the GP and tell them you need an urgent appointment. The GP will refer you to the screening clinic under the 2 week rule (they must see you within 2 weeks because of the risk of cancer). I have been through this myself (found a lump) and I didn't have cancer. You do need peace of mind though so the sooner you get seen by the GP, the better.

Dianebz1 · 04/03/2019 10:44

Thank you everyone, I got an emergency appointment this morning and Iv been referred and they will see me within 2 weeks. Thank you for all your reply, trying not to worry xx

Hello Diane
You are welcome to hang out with us on the cancer support thread if you feel it would be helpful. Anyone with cancer or undergoing tests for cancer is welcome. Hopefully we will wave you goodbye very quickly, but if not, you will find much support, advice and guidance.

TheFormidableMrsC · 04/03/2019 17:58

@Dianebz1 I am so glad you've got a referral. I am currently under a trial scheme for breast screening for women under 50. I have twice had to be referred prior to this for lumps that turned out to be benign breast conditions. I was once again called back recently following my most recent mammogram under the trial. There was no lump, just a weird looking branch of tissue under my left breast. It was benign, again. However, I appreciate how stressful and scary this can be. The consultant told me that 9 out of 10 callbacks are benign so I hope you can take some comfort from this. I know somebody who had what looked like a "pulled in" indentation in the skin and it was a particularly large fibroadenoma. So, will keep everything cross it's just that! Please update us, I wish you well and lots of luck Flowers

Appsscared30 · 18/12/2021 04:07

What was the outcome ? What did the doctor tell ?

Appsscared30 · 18/12/2021 04:09

Can u please update the outcome since all of us with this are worried

BG2015 · 18/12/2021 09:51

This is a very old thread (2019) if you have a concern with your breast please go to see your GP who will decide what to do.

I had an indent in my right boob, just as shown on the photo and am now having chemo for breast cancer.

Please go to your doctor. Often these things can be cysts or nothing at all but you won't know until it's investigated.

Appsscared30 · 18/12/2021 10:03

No other symptoms other than dent ?

BG2015 · 18/12/2021 10:29

And a lump after I noticed the dent

Appsscared30 · 18/12/2021 10:50

Ok. Near to dent ? Was there any puckering or difference in shape ?

BG2015 · 18/12/2021 18:14

Dent, puckering and lump underneath the dent. I had a lumpectomy in August and am having chemo as a mopping up exercise.

Do you have an indentation?

Appsscared30 · 18/12/2021 18:22

Just a slight dent and puckering no lump

Appsscared30 · 18/12/2021 18:22

What age are u

Mellii · 18/12/2021 19:17

@Appsscared30
Sorry for my english, i am from a different country.

Hey, i was in june by my doc. He did a ultrasound and saw something that looked different. He sent me to the breast cancer hospital and they did another ultrasound. The doc in the hospital said is just breast tissue and nothing to worry about. And the „different thing“ the other doc saw, was just a duct. The doc in the hospital said its not necessary to do a biopsy. And also he said that this is a really rare symptom.

After 6 months (one week ago) i was again by the doctor and he did again the us. He said that this part where the dent is, looks the same as 6 months ago - no changes. So he said its definitely nothing to worry about and just the skin. If there would be changes in this 6 months it could be something dangerous. Also he said that it is possible that a dent appears in a late stadium of breast cancer but then you can feel and see a large lump it in the ultrasound. The part down the breast is also not so likely fot breast cancer, he said to me.

He said maybe the reason for this is a injury,a fall or a bra that doesnt fit so good for a long time and then the skin got destroyed in the deep.

I was so anxious about it so many months and read so many threads in the internet and was so scared i couldnt work anymore. All my thoughts was just about this thing. I searched in my breast for lumps so many times a day that my breast began to hurt a lot. Because i was so insecure i wantet to see another doctor and went to another one. And the 3. doc also said he cant see anything und cant feel anything. The breast is soft and the us is clear nothing to worry about.

So i got 3 opinions in 6 months and i can say now i am so thankful for this life and so thankful i decided to got to the doctor. They examined me so well i can now say i got my life back.
Please please please go to the doc and just get it checked. It will help you so much. If its samoething dangerous, it can be diagnosed early.

Appsscared30 · 18/12/2021 19:19

Yes sure

Silkieschickens · 18/12/2021 19:29

Apps I would get a referral to breast clinic hopefully nothing but I had dent and large lump and it was stage 3 lobular breast cancer, the lump generally comes late on with that. Hopefully its nothing.
