I've so looked forward to this book. I've read all the others. But I am not enjoying it at all. It's too complicated.

Please can someone just tell me what happens?

Does Lyra find Pan? I hope so

Does Lyra get together with Malcolm? I really hope not

Is Hannah Relf alive and happy at the end?

Same question for Alice- alive and happy?

And Malcolm's parents? I fell in love with them in La Belle Sauvage. I wanted to live in The Trout so badly.

Does Will reappear and does he get together with Lyra? That would be much better.

I can't face reading the entire book but I would like to know the answers to these questions.

I don't care about dust or the magisterium or the rose oil.

Pan and Lyra are reunited. Lyra and Malcolm are not united (though it really feels like Pullman wanted that to happen). Pullman loses interest in all the England threads but everyone you mention is okay. Will is resolutely stuck in our world and makes no appearance.

It was really poor and I wish Pullman hadn't bothered writing The Secret Commonwealth and this.

Oh are Pan and Lyra happy to be re-united, forgive each other and love each other like old times? Or is their relationship still weird?

I also didn't enjoy the Secret Commonwealth and I haven't enjoyed this book. I should have stopped at La Belle Sauvage.
