I tend to pick books which are a bit harder going, abd have lost my reading mojo a bit. I dont have heaps of time to dedicate and I think my usual choices need a bit more time than I have.

I'd live recommendations for easy enjoyable reads to get me started again. Open to most things. Thank you!

I'm glad that you've found a book and have started.

I was going to recommend Miss Benson's Beetle. Easy to read, interesting and definitely not formulaic Wink

Anything by Clare Chambers.

The Reading List, Sara Adams, is a great one to get you enthusiastic about reading again

I've just started The Life Impossible by Matt Haig.
I would also recommend Taylor Jenkins Reid and Lisa Jewell books.

Try Sarah Waters,

CheeseAndPineappleHedgehog · 03/01/2025 14:30

I find Lisa Jewell books really easy to read and I’ve never read a bad one :)

Perfectly Ordinary People by Nick Alexander is a great read. It’s a heavy subject but told in a really easy reading way.

Also vote for How to kill your family (Bella Mackie), Small Pleasures (Clare Chambers) and Miss Bensons Beetle (Rachel Joyce) as mentioned up thread.

The Housemaid by Frieda McFadden was an easy read but very gripping!
