The Mercy Chair by MW Craven, new in Washington Poe series - June

All the colours of the dark by Chris Whitaker - June

Elly Griffiths - The last word - January

Caledonia Road - Andrew O'Hagan - April

The Puzzle Wood - Rosie Andrews -May

the last murder at the end of the world - Stuart Turton - March

Chris Hammer- Cover the Bones - Jan

Anyone else looking forward to any particular books?

Another vote for the household @thevegetablesoup I love all of Stacey halls books and can't wait for this one. I've asked for book vouchers for Christmas to buy it. I think it comes out in the Easter hols so ill have time to get stuck in!

Robert Galbraith has had 3 books of Strike out in as many years, so I'm hopeful for book 8 soon!

Dare I hope for Philip Pullman's third book of dust in 2024?

I hope that M J Alridge releases a new Helen Grace book too.

Other than that, I'm considering doing a 'planned purchases only' year, so won't be buying anything that wasn't preplanned.

I’m forward to the new Elif Shafak book. Also Fourteen Days (Margaret Atwood and others), the new Ben Aaronovitch, new Julia Armfield, Last murder at the end of the world and the new Matt Haig.

Also hoping for a new Strike book and last Book of Dust!

the new Helen Grace is out in July.

Just seen Monique Roffey has a new one out in May, I've enjoyed some of her others. White Woman on a Bicycle especially.

What a useful thread! I didn't realise there was a new Lissa Evans book planned, and even better the possibility of one by Sara Waters.

I'd already heard about Tom Lake so looking forward to that. Also the new Kate Atkinson.

I've pre-ordered The Covenant of Water by Abraham Verghese, due to arrive in March.
