Marooned in the snow stories

For the winter I want to read stories about severe winter. One easy read is Sylvester by Georgette Heyer. A humble country pub on The Bath Road, deep snow, impassable road, titled visitor with one servant.
Any suggestions of titles please? Dickens? Any of the family sagas? Cynthia Harrod-Eagles?

There is the train in the snow in Orient Express. Any other trains?

I have two for you. :

Anne Holt - 1222 - a train in Norway goes off the rail in a snow storm and everyone decamps to an abandoned hotel . Mystery and drama ensues !

Gay Salisbury - The cruellest miles - A true , amazing story of a race against time to deliver diphtheria vaccine to the wilds of Alaska in the middle of winter via dog sled (it was 1925) . Its gritty, emotional and real edge of the seat stuff to see if they can quite literally save the town.

The Silent Land by Graham Joyce is about a couple who get stuck in an avalanche, you don't get more snowed in than that Grin

It's quite short, a novella really, and has supernatural elements. I really enjoyed it.

Thank you all for your ideas.
I thought of another, a book for children but still a strong enough story for adults:
Winter Holiday, one of the Swallows and Amazons series by Arthur Ransome.
