Anyone a Sarah J Maas fan? Mindblown after finishing Crescent City 2!!

Okay, none of my friends have read either ACOTAR or Crescent City and I am in DIRE need of discussing the ending of House of Sky and Breath with someone!!! I have read and re-read the ACOTAR series I loved it that much - and now I've fallen in love with the characters of CC series too so the ending has absolutely blown my mind!!! I don't think I can wait until Jan 2024 to find out where she's going to go with this (and I have MANY concerns about some of my favourite characters!!)

@Whinge I know what you mean, but in the same breath I like a happy ending hahaha just tops off my reading escapism nicely 😆! I did enjoy Fourth Wing, it took me slightly longer to get in to it but by the end I was invested. Looking forward to the second book!

i actually think ACOSF is my fave of the series and loved Nesta and Cassian.

loved Nesta’s arc and character development.

with feyre, you’re meant to route for her but the fact that sjm made me as a reader want to support nesta and love her even more than feyre!

Jennifer Armentrout blood and ash series has very similar vibes too

Nesta definitely grew on me in the last book.

I didn’t like her in ACOTAR but she really did redeem herself.

Yeah I did grow to love Nesta by the end of ACOSF, but my favourites are still Rhys and Feyre with Bryce and Hunt a close second 🥰 but in saying that I love the side characters of both ACOTAR and CC too - aaah I am just so so excited for CC3 and where their stories are going to go! I don't know how she's going to do it!

At last I have found my people! I read ACOTAR first then TOG. Loved both series so much. Read the first CC book and wasn't enthralled but went back to book 2 as was feeling bereft. I really got into it and the last few pages had me screaming!

Cannot wait for book 3!! Didn't see that coming at all.

@massistar welcome!! I read ACOTAR and then CC - I had the biggest book hangover when I got to the end of CC2!!! I cannot wait for CC3!

I'm currently reading ToG and loving it!! Nearly at the end of Queen of Shadows!

I'm jealous @TeainanIV ! I didn't think I would love TOG as much as ACOTAR and it was a slower burn but in the end I might even have preferred it. So many amazing characters. My favourite was Manon Blackbeak.

Manon was awesome but I quite liked Lysandra too

I adored Manon. She is my fav character In SJM universe.

Awww I dunno about favourite in all the universe. I have a soft spot for Lehabah.

I've gotten several friends addicted to Sarah J Maas who've never read any form of fantasy before on this basis.

That and the fact we've nicknamed it fairy porn.

I'm excited to see how Manon's character develops - I'm not as keen on her in Queen of Shadows but I know she goes through some huge character development! Plus I adore Dorian and I'm finding it very stressful as he's still controlled by the Valg Prince at the moment where I'm up to! I feel for him! And my all time favourite is still Rhys, I'm in love with him hahaha!!

Rhys is just swoon worthy but so is Cassian and Azriel

@Soubriquet oh 100% he is very very swoon worthy 🤣. I'm a big Az fan too, and Cassian is such a lovely character. SJM just writes men too perfectly 😅

Although I am obsessed with Abraxos at the moment, I just end up picturing a leathery Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon 😂
