Lucinda Riley 7 Sisters series

Is anyone reading these? Really enjoying them, just finished Shadow Sister. I worked out who Pa Salt was in the first 2 but having trouble finding where he fits in this one!

Yes!

I'm on the 5th book (Tiggy).

I love the series but somehow have less connection with the younger sisters - definitely preferred the earlier books.

That's a shame! Can you remember how Pa Salt fits in with Flora's story? Can't work it out!

I've read them all from the very first one. Fantastic sweeping novels, Lucinda was such a talent. I was very sad to hear of her death. I have pre ordered the final book, Pa Salt's story but I am re reading them all before it's released.

That's a good idea. Yes I heard her son finished the last one after she died using notes she made. Sad there won't be any more books from her.

Aw yes, she left notes for him, had written some sections and apparently even when she was very ill was still guiding her son through the final story. It's so touching and fitting that he is completing it om behalf of his mum. All of Lucindas novels are wonderful but if anyone is interested, after her death her son published "Murder at Fleet House". It was a book she finished years ago but never released.. It's a departure for her as it's a muder mystery - but it's a fantastic read.

I LOVE these, I’d read a few of her other books before and got the set for Xmas. Finished the first two, I’m spreading them out as don’t want to finish them too quickly. So far I like the first one best but I think that’s just because I like the setting of Brazil! Really makes me feel like I’m on holiday in a hot country!

Really sad that Lucinda Riley died at such a young age.

I’ve really enjoyed a couple of her other books as well.

Ok, now I know - he’s Mr Tanit, who works for Flora at High Weald during the war. Anagram of Titan.

I've finished book 5 and had no idea about Pa Salt appearing in the historical stories. I'm going to go back and skip read them all!

You'd better not explain to much though as that might spoil it for others who haven't read very far yet...

Then went and read all of her other books and thought they were all brilliant as well.

Well the Pa Salt cameo has blown my mind. I've just collected book 3 the shadow sister today and looking forward to getting into it.

My friend is a massive fan of the series and I want to talk to her about this but if she doesn't know I don't want to spoil the last book for her!

I had a suspicion I knew who he was in one book but can’t remember which one. Didn’t spot him in any others. Happy to wait and read the last one to see what it’s all about.

About Pa Salt? I don’t know whether Lucinda Riley ever confirmed it or whether it’s fans working it out but he seems to have cameos in each book.

There’s hints that Pa Salt appears in each book, but very discreetly and in the background. The sister in question never gets to talk to him, but something reminds them of his presence. Can’t remember exactly, but it could be a waft of his favourite aftershave, for example.
