Is anyone reading these? Really enjoying them, just finished Shadow Sister. I worked out who Pa Salt was in the first 2 but having trouble finding where he fits in this one!

There’s hints that Pa Salt appears in each book, but very discreetly and in the background. The sister in question never gets to talk to him, but something reminds them of his presence. Can’t remember exactly, but it could be a waft of his favourite aftershave, for example.

Yes, those, but there’s also the idea that he appears under another name in the historical part of each book - like Mr Tanit (anagram of Titan) working at High Weald when Flora lived there.

I'm just starting Tiggy and also had no idea that Pa appeared in any of them.

I discovered these books on here a few months ago when they were recommended. I always jot down good books I read about on MN

Hi, I've read 5 of them and have been trying to slow down as I also don't want to finish! So far there's been no confirmed sightings of Pa Salt but definitely something vague going on.

I love how wealthy they are, such escapism! Geneva, private planes, the freedom to work for fun not because they have to.

Yes Pa Salt appears at different stages of his life in all the past stories, I easily recognised him as a boy in the sculpture story and suspected who he was as a young man in the one about the musicians in Storm sister! I don't think it's a spoiler for the final book! I thought he must have had some connection to all the girls, and known their relatives at some point but am looking forward to reading how he adopted them all and who he actually is!

Ok, now I know - he’s Mr Tanit, who works for Flora at High Weald during the war. Anagram of Titan.

I would never have guessed that, very subtle! My mum had no idea he appeared in the past stories but when I mentioned it she said that Mr Tanit had a love of roses the same as Pa Salt, I had forgotten that!
