I have loved her series and just read the House of breath and sky that came out a couple weeks ago.

I need something to fill the gap!

I have read some of Leigh Bardugo and I like it but don't love it.

I like kick ass female characters, detailed fantasy world's, twists and turns and a bit of love!

Any recommendations?

Blood jewels trilogy by Anne Bishop
Ancestor trilogy by Mark Lawrence (no sex but very kick ass female protagonist)

Ooh smoke and bone trilogy by Laini Taylor as well

Coming to this thread late but no one has mentioned Holly Black and the Wicked Prince trilogy which I thought was fab.

OP I know you like fantasy but for kick ass female characters you can't go wrong with Grady Hendrix's 'The Southern Book Clubs Guide to Killing Vampires'. And I also loved 'The Final Girl support group'
