I recently read The Earth abides. Since then I have read the Last Light trilogy, How I live now and Empty World. Can anyone recommend something similar? There something about surviving and starting again that I just really enjoy reading about.

I've just finished Station11 and I thoroughly recommend.

I also recommend Margaret Atwood's Maddaddam trilogy - I particularly liked The Year of the Flood.

I loved the Bob series, the first one is We are Legion (We are Bob), it's post apocalyptic although it's mostly set in space so it might not be what you're looking for. It's one that's worth listening to over reading if you ever listen to books as it's told in the first person.

I also have recently enjoyed the Zone War series by John Conroe, not exactly a world apocalypse but about the aftermath of Manhattan being completely wiped out by drones.

I'm working my way through this list. It's fairly comprehensive and a lot of the suggested titles are on it.

I also really enjoyed Yesterdays gone series by Sean Platt and David Wright (I think).

I really loved Soon by Lois Murphy. That’s a good list, rory, I’ve read about 50% of them and am game for the others.

@RoryGillmoresEvilTwin that's a great list thank you. I haven't got started on any of the books on this post yet as I had two to read and review on Netgalley which I have now done - it feels like homework sometimes.

Look out for speculative dystopian: The Waiting Rooms by Eve Smith, coming May 2020!

There is antibiotic resistance, the world is in lockdown, police are stamping on anyone who infringes tight bacterial control. It takes place around now and COULD be our future!

I loved station eleven, even in the current world situation. Anything else like that based on a pandemic In the modern world?

I've just finished reading Before and After by Andrew Shanahan. One man and his dog, post apocalyptic, weight loss and zombies. I'm not a fan of zombie books but this one had me hooked. I hope there is a follow up. Free to read in kindle unlimited.

I second Swan Song, The Stand and Station Eleven. Also The Dead Lands by Benjamin Percy is great, lots of good images in it.

Riddley Walker by Russel Hoban
A Canticle for Liebowitz by Walter M Miller Jr

Both must-reads if you like post apocalypse fiction.
