jazzcat28 · 03/04/2013 10:53

Right thought I should put up a new thread as we were getting close to filling up the old one!

Useful Notes and Links:

HD = Hairy Dieter's Recipe Book. Circa £7.00 on Amazon and full of yummy low WW point recipes

We share our yummy low point recipes on this thread

We track our losses weekly on this online spread sheet

The spread sheet also has a tab containing all the WW points for every single recipe in the HD book, courtesy of the lovely OhTheConfusion (for working them out) and AddictedtoCrunchies (for having the foresight to paste them in the spread sheet)

Here's to another thread of amazing losses ladies!!

10, my dailies got automatically adjusted as i lost weight - i believe (others will correct me if i'm wrong) that 26pp is the lowest it will go.
It suggests 49 weeklies, but you can change that if you like (to less).
Woodenpeg Whoop!

Hoping to pick up some clothes that fit this weekend (wardrobe getting very sparse), might even buy a dress for work!!!

The first two days I struggled and thought I couldn't do it I was starving and craving sweets. Then I got into the swing of it. I had something sweet every day one of the weight watchers choc bars. Then at the weekend I saved my 49 points and on Sunday had a drink and BBQ. I didn't even bother to point it I just didn't go mad for the rest of the day and counted again on the Monday. I lost 5 lbs and was shocked so I think the relaxed approach works for me.

Also if you like wine and want a glass the Ww rose is quite nice. I mix mine with diet lemonade anyway but for 125ml it's only 2 points

Am I right in thinking diet coke, lemonade are free or should I be counting them ?

stowsettler · 04/07/2013 13:59

All diet drinks are free yes Beautician.

Having a good day today - bought a crispy salad, pineapple, nana, Mullerlight, apple from Tescos and have sorted both breakfast and lunch for just 8 points. Unfortunately it cost me over £10 in Tesco Shock. Thank God I'm only working 1 day a week at the mo.

stowsettler · 04/07/2013 13:59

Oh yeah and Piri Piri chicken which was 6 of those 8 points I mentioned above.

Dorisday13 · 05/07/2013 15:35

Hi, new to this and need to ask a question... Can I really eat all the bananas I want and it's free? And still loose weight? Tia x

pollywollydoodle · 05/07/2013 16:03

they are zero points but not free...the idea is that it is a good way to fill up when hungry only.

NewYorkDeli · 05/07/2013 19:18

Second weigh in today, lost 2.5lb! That's 5.5lb in two weeks!!

To be honest, I'm shocked, could have sworn I'd gone over my weeklies this week, unless I've been overestimating? Had a Chinese this week, but only had a chow mein, went for a Greek for my mum's birthday, and just ate what I fancied, but didn't eat as much as I usually would. I stopped when I felt comfortable.

I have 1stone 5lb to go until I'm at target, hoping to get there by mid September.

Dorisday13 · 06/07/2013 06:51

Ok thanks, I'm permanently hungry though and eat a lot of bananas maybe I'm not doing this right.

poorpaws · 06/07/2013 23:32

Ello all, thought I'd better come here and admit to missing Friday's wi. Naughty I know but I have a good reason. After giving birth my stupid daughter discharged herself from hospital when they wanted to give her a blood transfusion. She is now very poorly, looks dreadful and has been taken back into hospital today, is being given a lot of blood and has to stay in overnight. I cannot even begin to explain the worry and when I worry I eat. I really wish I didn't eat when I'm worried and I know most people don't, but I do.

Anyway well done to all you losers and good luck with this weeks weighins. I'll be back on track soon I'm sure but could be facing a murder trial when I see daughter.

I'll come and check on you each day but perhaps won't have much to say. (Perhaps bread and water in prison will help my diet Wink

BeauticianNotMagician · 07/07/2013 19:49

Wow 10 that's an amazing weight loss in a week. Well done you Grin

Anyone know how many points an omelette with two eggs is? Also are mushrooms 0 points

AddictedtoCrunchies · 07/07/2013 20:37

Paws plenty of chance to exercise in prison too..

I'm off the wagon due to stress. I'm not even going to bother explaining why as I'm boring myself now with all the things I've got to worry about. Things will improve dramatically after Thursday night and then I'm away Fri/Sat/Sun in Devon. Then my life will get back to normal.

I check here every day but, bit like Paws, have nothing to say right now. I'll be back though. Just struggling to cope at the moment Sad

poorpaws · 07/07/2013 23:44

Thank you all for your lovely comments. Apparently daughter is at her home now. After many texts from me she sent one saying she didn't want to talk. Yes she needed a blood transfusion but she also needs a personality transplant Smile. Anyway I'm still eating for England because it's just too hot to do anything else.

Polly ~ it's soooo much worse when the kids grow up, mine was an angel of the child and now she's a little ......

Crunchie ~ where are you going in Devon? I live in Devon (and its absolutely full of tourists at the mo).

OhTheConfusion · 08/07/2013 08:03

Morning everyone, I really need a kick up the bum... she say's whilst eating a malteaser at 7.45am!

Sorry so many of you are having non WW related bad days Sad. Poorpaws, hopefully she is just being a hormonal so and so. Just keep thinking 'skinny granny' Smile. Crunchie, enjoy your few days away, I am a former Devon Dumpling, were are you off to?

I am off to change all the beds in the house as DS and DD1 have just gone away for a few days with their grandparents so the house is super quiet (DD2 is still asleep). Plus DH was all sweaty as it was so hot last night [yuck].

AddictedtoCrunchies · 08/07/2013 10:10

We'e going to Lynton and Lynmouth. One of my most favourite places in the world. Plan to eat fish and drink Thatchers Gold to my hearts content.

Paws are you near there?

Cappster · 08/07/2013 12:34

Hello

do you take newbies?

I am a very old MNer, and I haven't been around for ages, but I went on the WW site and it was full of very strange, tedious people. So I thought I might Come Home.

I need to lose about a stone and a half I think. Have joined WW online. Then made a load of ice-cream and accidentally ate it

face-palm

pinkypants · 08/07/2013 19:42

Doing WW online - 4lbs down in less than 3 weeks, more importantly down 5 inches. Very happy! Doing weights, resistance training and running 4 times a week as well :D

pinkypants · 08/07/2013 19:47

Dorisday13 - I found that making lots of food from scratch with lots of 'free' food such as peppers, mushrooms, onions etc really helped. I eat 4-5 times a day. Breakfast protein pancakes, mid morning snack - dates, lunch - bean chilli, one wrap, 30g cheese, mid afternoon - vegetable soup, tea - stir fry/curry whatever I like really! I use my points to jazz up veggies - chillis, curries, stir frys, cottage pies, sunday roasts etc. Plenty of protein through beans, chickpeas, hummus etc which means I feel fuller for longer. The first week on the plan was tough because i wasting lots of points on 'treats' which left me little in the way of actual food!

AddictedtoCrunchies · 08/07/2013 20:25

Cappster we'll take anyone Smile. I just bought two slices of cheesecake for DS from the mark-down cabinet. And then ate them. Both of them. So I'm with you.

STIDW · 08/07/2013 22:05

Anyone know how many points an omelette with two eggs is? Also are mushrooms 0 points

Omlette with 2 medium eggs and a splash of milk is 4 points and mushrooms are nil. I lost 10.5st and ate omelette with low fat ham, mushrooms, 20g half fat cheddar, salad and bread regularly. It's very filling and only 8pts.

BeauticianNotMagician · 08/07/2013 22:16

STIDW that's great thank you. I'm finding it difficult to find the points of lots of things. Should I buy a book from meeting. I do monthly pass so have access to online and the app.

Think I may put on this week and only week two. We were at the seaside this weekend and I think I ate too much Sad

Champagnecharleyismyname · 08/07/2013 22:36

.5lb off at weigh in today, bit disappointed it is not more but at least going in the right direction. I am getting lots of inspiration from this thread, thank you..
