just diving on here to say I have lost 5 lbs in a week -

by buying some new fricking scales.....

AuldAlliance · 29/03/2010 13:08

BO, what job do you do?
Trying hard, and failing, to imagine a flapjack comp in my workplace.

BariatricObama · 29/03/2010 13:12

lol don't you get any breaks? do french people eat flapjacks?

MamaGoblin · 29/03/2010 13:14

at new scales

Right. Branflakes with three cut-up strawberries for brekkie. (c. 3.5 points incl the milk)
2 corn thins for snack, minus the bits DS stole.

Having miso soup with added enoki mushrooms, brocolli and peas, with 3 more corn thins. (Every time I go to type that, I write 'things' not thins, annoying.)

Defrosting some very lean turkey mince for supper - planning on making lo-cal bol sauce and maybe topping it with some highly experimental rosti made from butternut squash. Or will it just burn? Don't you need some FAT to make rosti?

LittleBunnyFooFoo · 29/03/2010 13:14

May I join you? On day 1 of a detox thingummy and got a headache

Start weight is almost 17 stones and I'm so ashamed

HumphreyCobbler · 29/03/2010 13:14

Hello

I am still in the zone, even though it is raining and I have no car, so am stuck in the house with two small DC. This is usually a dangerous time for me.

I wish I had a job where people entered flapjack making competitions. Sounds brilliant (except when on diet natch).

isthatporridgeinyourhair · 29/03/2010 13:14

Still in the ZONE. Custard creams? Jammy Dodgers? FGS Su - show some authoritaay everyone's off piste.

That Bonnetting thread is surreal. Love it.

BariatricObama · 29/03/2010 13:17

littlebunny - don't be ashamed just get in teh zone and lose it.

isthatporridgeinyourhair · 29/03/2010 13:19

We have marrow growing competitions at work.

AuldAlliance · 29/03/2010 13:20

Non, French people do not eat flapjack.

Molasses/treacle/golden syrup type substances pretty much unheard of. Oats are for horses.

And they certainly wouldn't make a competition out of it.

BariatricObama · 29/03/2010 13:22

maybe you have 'who can smoke in the chicest fashion' comps?

or 'best nochalant shrug'

LittleBunnyFooFoo · 29/03/2010 13:28

ok just had superhealthy HM chicken & veg soup and feel positively thin now

dinkystinky · 29/03/2010 13:29

In the zone - despite evil work stress have had skinny latte, porridge, soup and tiny salad so far today. Whoever said stress is good for weightloss obviously never heard of the destressing properties of chocolate...

dinkystinky · 29/03/2010 13:29

ps welcome Littlebunny

LadyBlaBlah · 29/03/2010 13:35

I agree porridge. Some baaad behaviour on here. No excuse for shortbread and coleslaw. The zone is hardcore.

AuldAlliance · 29/03/2010 13:43

Nah, where I work they aren't all that chic. And very few smoke. Probably too expensive.

They have "most gloomy" and "most bitter about the gvmt reforms" contests.

bundle of laughs

MamaGoblin · 29/03/2010 14:08

Bonnet thread has made me wet myself.

LorraineSattell · 29/03/2010 14:23

what is HM littlebunny? welcome to the thread. despite bad behaviour i lost a pound, so that gives some indication as to the accuracy of my scales.

MamaGoblin · 29/03/2010 15:03

Hello LittleBunny! I've never detoxed, sounded too much hard work... I think this is much easier, really - just healthy eating. (or you get shouted at. )

SuSylvester · 29/03/2010 15:12

Did you eat those dough strips that come on the side, Su?

I like the Nicoise one they do. But can't resist the dough sticks.

LorraineSattell · 29/03/2010 15:24

there's a place near us that does a mahoosive bacon and parmesan salad for £2.99. as a low carber, i am delighted.
