I have bought a trampette and have done 3 x 25 mins jogging on it this week.I am very impressed with it tbh.

FairLadyRantALot · 11/09/2008 22:19

when I used a rebound trampoline I found hat my calves were really painful...but think mine was a rubbish one...

Beauregard · 11/09/2008 22:27

Mine isnt top of the range but it is good.
I can really feel all my muscles have been worked(even my tummy)

FairLadyRantALot · 12/09/2008 18:23

sounds good

WEll, did Weightraining today...

Smalline · 12/09/2008 20:28

Didn't make it to Salsacise today as planned. I did lots of housework instead.

ChirpyGirl · 14/09/2008 21:40

Evening ladies!
I am doing okay so far, went for a walk yesterday morning as had awful period pains and it help a bit, so I put on Billy blanks excercise ting while DD2 was napping. DD1 thought it was hysterical and was bopping around (although she got very cross that they kept counting to 8 but forgetting 9 and 10...)
DH called just as we were getting to cool down needing rescuing as his bike had gone bang, so shoved shoes on dd's, ran out fo front door sweating and red faced to be greeted by all my neighbours out front! and those I didn't se eon way out I saw on way back!

Today I feel sooooo achey but good for it, and went for a gentle stroll earlier with dd's to try and loosen up!

bythepowerofgreyskull · 14/09/2008 21:46

is it too late for me to join you.

I HAVE to do something. we have a wii fit and I have been doing 30-40 minutes each night but am VERY unfit.

DS1 starts full time school tomorrow so am going to be walking 2 miles a day for pick up. (DH does drop off)

am hpoing to start a longer route to the afternoon pick up (3-4 miles) and power walk it - hope this will increase my fitness before I start anything else.

Anyone got any tips for motivation?

JHKE · 15/09/2008 11:24

Sounds like everyone is doing well so far...Just got to keep it up...

Well I didn't do anything on Saturday... Yesterday I took the kids to the local country park so there was at least an hours walking.. The kids went in the trailer (it usually attached to bike, but can also push it) so that enabled me to walk a bit faster... Today I am doing school/ playgroup drop offs/ pick ups so that will help even though it will be at slow pace.

I think I need to get a pedometer.. and aim for the 10k steps a day.. if i have this right, this is about 500 calories a day, You need to burn 3500 calories to lose 1lb. Info from the nhs website - very informative on there.

FairLadyRantALot · 15/09/2008 20:03

bythepower...of course you can join...how do you like the Wii?
And walking, especially at a good pace (i.e. you get out of breath lightly and are raising your heartrate) is brilliant exercise, especially if you are not so fit

I didn't do anything on the weekend, well, I did Housework, and plenty of it, on Saturday and Sunday is my resting day.
Today I did weights again.
Tomorrow morning I shall do Nell Mc Andrew I suppose.
I have got to think what I will do as off next week. I will start UNiversity full time and I will have to be on the road at 7.30am...so, no way can I do it beforehand...and I won't be back untill 6pm in the afternoon/evening....well that will be for 4 days a week...so no idea how that will pan out, sigh!

ChirpyGirl · 15/09/2008 20:53

Can't breathe...am exhausted!
DH in work late tonight so just did the Billy Blanks dvd, and am waiting for my nice hot radox bath to run!
Am so wrecked that I have just hunted out my Cindy Crawford ease yourself back in for postnatal to do as I can't do the billy one every other day, I'll die!
I reckon 30 mins of nice gentle eveyr other day and the hard one once a week, plus my half hour to an hour walks with DD's shoudl do something....

FairLadyRantALot · 16/09/2008 20:08

lol Chirpy., yes Tae BO can be quite exhausting..even the basic ones can be a bit much to start with...

well..after a rubbish night with ys, I hadn't had the energy to get up at 6am therefore didn't get round to do anything...and now can't be bothered, lol...
Shall try to be better tomorrow...

Smalline · 16/09/2008 21:58

Hi everyone, how is it going?

I am aching in places I can never remember aching in before, in all of my 20 years or more of exercising. I did Billy Blanks Taebo dvd yesterday, 2 basic workouts as it was my first attempt, he is a great motivator and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I did Karen Voight's core fusion on Saturday.

I'm planning to get up at 6am tomorrow morning, to fit in an exercise session before the kids get up... well that's the plan, I'll let you know what happens tomorrow

ChirpyGirl · 17/09/2008 19:20

I copped out of BIlly and did Cindy crawfords nice gentle one yesterday, with DD1 helping, had dentist this afternoon and only psace was a 15 minute uphill hike away so haven't bothered!

cheapskatemum · 17/09/2008 23:27

Hi you lot, I'd like to join you, if that's ok. Lost my job, so at least I can now get back into aqua aerobics twice a week and walking dogs every day. Who is Billy Blanks and what is Tae Bo? We're a bit behind here in rural Suffolk!

Smalline · 18/09/2008 22:43

Hi cheapskatemum and welcome! Tae Bo is a kickboxing type aerobic exercise routine, which was developed by 'Tae kwon do' practitioner Billy Blanks. If you do google search 'what is tae bo' there is a sample video on YouTube that you can watch.

I managed to fit in 2 of Davina's power of 3 workouts yesterday, Tonight I did an aerobics class.

cheapskatemum · 20/09/2008 12:28

Ta, Smalline, I'll do that. In need of more motivation have lost 2lb in about 10 days. Was hoping for more and am already losing original fervour, but aqua aerobics has definitely left me with more muscle tone in my middle age spread, if that makes sense!

Smalline · 22/09/2008 14:55

Saturday morning, did Nell McAndrew's 'ultimate challenge' workout, thoroughly enjoyed that one. This morning managed to get up at 6am and did part of Karen Voight's 'great weighted' workout, could not be asked to do the whole thing as it is about 85 minutes . Can't say I particularly like doing her earlier workouts (pre 1995) they seem to go on for ever, her later workouts are a lot better, they do the same job is half the time

FairLadyRantALot · 22/09/2008 20:58

Well...I have been rubbish...lots on my plate....will try to work some sort of routine out, which will enbale me to do exercise...
prefaerable I would love to join teh Gym at the University campus and go in extra early (they open at 7am) and then I owuld have no torubvle with traffic and parking and get my exercise...but dh not so happy with that plan for n ow

JHKE · 23/09/2008 09:44

My exercise is still in the form of walking the kids to playgroup/ school. They are both keen to ride their bike/ trike which means I will be able to walk faster. I lost 2lbs last week so am pleased although I don't think this is entirely down to walking but due to change of diet to.

cheapskatemum · 23/09/2008 22:21

JHKE . What changes have you made to your diet? Did 2 v. long dog walks over weekend 3 to 4 miles and aqua aerobics today.

JHKE · 24/09/2008 10:14

Not much really - my meals are normally sauce based meals e.g spaghetti bolognese, cottage pie, stew that sort of thing but my ds wasn't eating them, so for now I have changed them to meat and 2 veg type meals. I am guessing that its more to do with portions than what I am eating. Dishing it out seperatly is easier to portion than sauce based. Ds is now eating the meals. I just need to make the meals more exciting.

Thats really good exercise. I would offer to walk my dbrothers dog but not really keen on picking up poo! lol

Smalline · 27/09/2008 10:52

I've just done 1 hour of Tae Bo and earned myself an extra 8.5 weightwatcher points. I attempted the advance workout, boy was it hard, dread to think how much I am going to ache over the next couple of days. Oh and I went running yesterday. I'm sure that I did something on Wednesday, can't remember what it was though.

FairLadyRantALot · 28/09/2008 11:07

Well, I am joining the UNi Gym, but next week I will only be able to go on Tuesday morning....however, the next week I should be able to go Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and possibly Thursday...so, that is good...

Smalline · 29/09/2008 09:52

That is good FairLady.

I now remember what I did last Wednesday, I did Elle MacPherson's The body workout, well most of it, I had to stop near the end as dd wanted her breakfast.

This morning I did the Nell McAndrew's ultimate challenge.

FairLadyRantALot · 29/09/2008 12:39

well done to you
